In this impactful role, the Vice President Finance and Corporate Controller directs multiple accounting functions, including payroll and accounts payable, and will establish effective internal controls for all assigned functions.</div><div> 
</div><div>The VP is responsible for the supervision of general accounting staff and management of general accounting operations including but not limited to general ledger closing procedures, financial statement preparation and reporting, maintenance and proper reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, prepaid assets, patient receivables, inventory, fixed assets, account analysis, audit schedules and reports, Lawson general ledger review and resolution.</div><div> 
</div><div>This position assists in the preparation and development of the corporation&rsquo;s annual budget, which includes capital, staffing and non-staffing, and revenue projections. The VP also partners with the Treasury department to develop accurate cash needs projections and strong cash processing and reporting mechanisms. This role must develop a strong relationship with the financial business partners and analysts to ensure accurate and effective interpretation of data and financial results. The VP must communicate effectively with other areas in the organization to resolve issues and assist with financial analysis and interpretation. This role will work independently to resolve complex issues, requiring sound judgment and ensures all accounting frameworks are established to enable the organization to monitor and drive improved financial performance, accurately and timely.</div><div></div><div>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>Relevant experience as a finance leader in a complex environment is required. Relevant accounting leadership experience in a hospital or health system is strongly preferred.</li><li>
Bachelor's Degree
</li><li>An excellent understanding of current generally accepted accounting principles. CPA certification is a plus but not required.</li><li>
Leadership skills including employee leadership and change management</li><li>
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and systems/tools used for financial management</li><li>
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate across the company</li><li>

Vice President Accounting and Corporate Controller

<div>Job Summary:

The Section of Hospital Medicine at St. Christopher&rsquo;s Hospital for Children is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) BC/BE Pediatric Hospitalist and Director of Hospital Medicine Quality &amp; Patient Safety (MD or DO). 
Clinical responsibilities will include direct patient care, clinical supervision, and teaching of housestaff on the resident teaching service. This position will also lead inpatient quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, conduct patient safety event reviews, oversee pediatric resident quality and patient safety curriculum, and mentor residents in their quality improvement research. 
Faculty appointments are available through our primary teaching affiliate, the Drexel University College of Medicine, with additional opportunities to teach learners through our partnerships with Temple University School of Medicine and other regional academic programs. 
St. Christopher&rsquo;s is a Level I pediatric trauma center with 188 inpatient beds, PICU, and Level IV NICU. Founded in 1875 and celebrating its 150th anniversary, St. Christopher&rsquo;s is southeastern Pennsylvania&rsquo;s essential safety-net children&rsquo;s hospital, a mission-driven organization that has provided billions in uncompensated care since its inception.
