<div>Part-time Upper School Math Teacher
Tower Hill School seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Part-time Upper School Math Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in mathematics, be versatile enough to teach calculus at a college preparatory school, and be comfortable working with technology. In addition, the candidate should have the collaborative skills to work with a department of dedicated, talented colleagues, be familiar with current best practices and pedagogy, and possess a strong sense of responsibility for the success of every student. This is a part-time position to start in November 2025 and teach through early June 2026.
Essential Functions:<ul><li>
Teach 1-2 sections of Honor Calculus</li><li>
Work collaboratively with other teachers to develop, implement, and document a horizontally aligned curriculum across sections and a vertically aligned curriculum across years</li><li>
Design assessments and use data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices</li><li>
Interact with parents and maintain an open dialogue with families to support student success</li><li>
Engage with the THS community by attending school-wide assemblies, faculty meetings, and department meetings as time allows</li><li>
Demonstrate competency with current teaching technology and an interest in advancing its use in the classroom</li><li>
Collaborate to promote an environment of critical thinking and academic rigor</li><li>
Deliver rigorous and engaging content and instruction to students with passion and a willingness to help students succeed</li><li>
Embody a mastery-orientation, gearing assessment and instructional methods toward student growth and understanding</li></ul>
Desired Qualifications and Skills:<ul><li>
B.S in Math or related field required, Master&rsquo;s or above preferred</li><li>
Demonstrated interest in teaching high school aged students, growth mindset and willingness to engage in self-reflective teaching practice</li><li>
Sensitivity to the developmental stages and well-being of students</li></ul><ul><li>
Excellent organizational and time management skills</li><li>
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues</li><li>
Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal</li><li>
Commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of students</li></ul><ul><li>
Enthusiasm for professional growth, academic excellence and creative teaching</li><li>
Ability to plan and organize educational content</li><li>
Commitment to broad participation in school life</li><li>
Experience in and commitment to the ongoing development and maintenance of an inclusive campus community</li></ul>
