Employment Opportunity &ndash; Job PostingFIREFIGHTER / PARAMEDIC (CAREER)Single Role PARAMEDIC (CAREER)The Town of Douglas Fire Department is accepting applications for the full-time position of Firefighter/Paramedic and Single Role Paramedic. Lateral applicants encouraged. Ideal candidates will have a least one year of experience working as a firefighter/paramedic and/or paramedic.Firefighter/Paramedic candidates must be able to successfully complete a CORI and background investigation, HRD medical physical exam and DOT Drug Screening, HRD physical ability test (PAT), and the full time ten-week Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Recruit Training Program or equivalent as a condition of employment.Single-Role Paramedic candidates must be able to complete a CORI/detailed background check, medical physical exam, lift test, and DOT drug screening as a condition of employment. Single Role Paramedics are not required to be trained as firefighters.Required minimum qualifications:<ul><li>Valid Driver&rsquo;s License</li><li>CPR/BLS Certification</li><li>ACLS</li><li>Nationally Registered EMT-Paramedic with ability to obtain MA EMT-P Certification within 45 days of hire.</li></ul>Desired qualifications:<ul><li>Pro Board Firefighter I/II Certification</li><li>Hazardous Materials Operations Level</li><li>Completion of the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Recruit Training Program</li></ul>Salary Range (Base):<ul><li>Paramedic (Single Role): $77,546.56 &ndash; $84,156.80</li><li>Firefighter/Paramedic: $85,321.60 &ndash; $92,572.48</li></ul>Candidates may be started at higher step depending on experience and qualifications.
