Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team and help keep our office running smoothly. This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to support daily administrative operations, enhance office efficiency, and provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and possess strong computer skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Whether handling front desk duties, managing schedules, or supporting office management tasks, you&rsquo;ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and productive workplace.Responsibilities<ul><li>&middot; Answers telephones, takes messages, and responds to routine inquiries from the public and other agencies.</li></ul>&middot; Performs filing, scanning, copying, and general document organization to maintain accurate records.&middot; Assists with data entry and recordkeeping in accordance with departmental and legal requirements.&middot; Provides support at the Clerk&rsquo;s office drive-up window, including customer service and transaction processing.&middot; Collects and processes payments, performs cash handling duties, and maintains and reconciles cash drawers&middot; Interacts with members of the public and representatives of local, state and federal agencies to provide in, answer inquiries and relay messages.Provides general administrative support to the town clerk&rsquo;s office and occasionally other departments when necessary.Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in an office environment or administrative support role with strong organizational skills</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications</li><li>Excellent communication skills with a professional demeanor.</li><li>Strong typing skills and computer literacy to efficiently handle data entry and document management</li><li>Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail and time management</li></ul>Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding support in a professional setting.
