Rumford Public Library is seeking an Adult Services Librarian who shares that vision and is ready to make a meaningful impact.In your role as Adult Services Librarian, you will:●Design and deliver engaging programs and events tailored to adult learners and readers.●Provide expert reader&rsquo;s advisory and research assistance.●Assist the Library Director in curating and developing the library collection.●You&rsquo;ll work closely with the Children&rsquo;s Librarian to connect programs between age levels.●Support Circulation and Technology staff to provide friendly and high quality customer service.Key Responsibilities:●Plan, promote, and lead innovative adult programs and events.●Offer personalized research help.●Work closely with library staff to curate collections that reflect community needs and interests.●Serve as a friendly, knowledgeable resource for all adult patrons.Qualifications:●Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.●Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for public service.● Bachelor's Degree in Library/Information Science is preferred.● Significant experience in and a working knowledge of Library services are required.● Experience with Sierra and Minerva is a plus.● Proficiency using computers, computer software and the internet is required.● Demonstrated excellent public relations ability with all ages is required.Why Work With Us?You&rsquo;ll join a supportive, collaborative team that values connecting people with ideas.
