With a focus on innovative drug development, our interdisciplinary teams advance transformative treatments from concept to clinic.Overview The Preclinical Manager will lead and oversee the planning, execution, and analysis of preclinical studies to support oncology drug development. This leadership role involves cross-functional collaboration, study design, data interpretation, project management and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and coordinate in-vivo and ex-vivo preclinical studies, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and protocol development.</li><li>Lead, mentor, and recruit scientific staff, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.</li><li>Oversee documentation, regulatory compliance (GLP, SOPs), and reporting of all study activities.</li><li>Engage with internal teams and external partners to advance projects efficiently, maintaining high-quality research standards.</li><li>Analyze and interpret scientific data, preparing comprehensive scientific reports and presentations.</li><li>Maintain comprehensive project management and program documentation systems.</li><li>Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions, CROs, and key stakeholders.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>PhD, PharmD, or MD in a life science field (oncology, pharmacology, biology, or related).</li><li>5+ years of experience in preclinical research, ideally in oncology drug development within biotech or pharma.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of preclinical drug development, in vivo and ex vivo techniques, and regulatory guidelines.</li><li>Proven project management, leadership, and communication abilities.</li><li>Experience managing or working with CROs is preferred.</li><li>Qualified for animal experimentation.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Relocation assistance</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Doctorate (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>pre-clinical study management: 5 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Charlotte, NC 28204 (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
