Job SummaryThe Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to ensure the organization obtains high-quality goods and services at competitive prices. The role involves negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, overseeing purchase processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Source, evaluate, and select vendors based on quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.</li><li>Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.</li><li>Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company procedures.</li><li>Monitor and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.</li><li>Manage vendor payments in coordination with the finance department.</li><li>Analyze supplier proposals and market trends to support informed purchasing decisions.</li><li>Resolve procurement-related issues such as delivery delays or quality concerns.</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.</li><li>Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.</li><li>Support budgeting and cost analysis to maximize return on investment (ROI).</li></ul>Educational Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Strong negotiation and contract management skills.</li><li>Ability to build and maintain long-term supplier relationships.</li><li>Analytical skills with experience in cost analysis and budgeting.</li><li>Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles.</li><li>Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), e-procurement systems, and MS Excel.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.</li></ul>Experience Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management (preferred).</li></ul>Job Type: Full-time
