As a family-owned company, we are deeply committed to safety, reliability, and exceptional service for the communities we serve.We are seeking a safety-sensitive, first-line supervisory professional to join our team as a Road Supervisor. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students and supporting the daily activities of bus operators.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Ensure student safety and intervene to maintain order on buses or at stops</li><li>Respond to accidents, incidents, and driver requests for assistance</li><li>Investigate and document accidents, complaints, and safety concerns</li><li>Monitor bus operators for adherence to routes, schedules, and policies</li><li>Perform related work as required or as delegated by supervisor.</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Abilities <ul><li>Strong knowledge of school transportation safety and New York State regulations</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with drivers/monitors, dispatchers, parents, and schools</li><li>Ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure and in emergency situations</li><li>Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills</li><li>Proficiency with radios, GPS, routing software, and basic computer programs (Word, Excel)</li><li>Ability to maintain detailed records and write clear incident and activity reports</li><li>Commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality</li></ul>Required Qualifications <ul><li>Valid New York State Security Guard License (Required)</li><li>Valid CDL or willingness to obtain one</li><li>At least 2 years of Military or law enforcement experience</li><li>Minimum 2 years of school bus driving or related transportation experience</li><li>Clean driving record and ability to pass all required background checks, drug/alcohol screenings, and DOT medical requirements</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, split shifts, and in all weather conditions</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Safety equipment provided</li></ul>People with a criminal record are encouraged to applyExperience:<ul><li>Military or law enforcement: 2 years (Preferred)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>New York State Security Guard License (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Rochester, NY 14605 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
