 Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our organization as we grow and transform our Technology landscape. Individual will complete intermediate end to end engineering tasks for specific system assignments including developing, analyzing, configuring, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documenting, health monitoring/alerting, and implementing based on user or system design specifications, as well as participating in troubleshooting, conducting impact analysis and escalating appropriately.

What Is the Opportunity?
This role is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000. 
 
This position is hybrid. Employees may elect to work up to 2 days per week from their primary residence. 
 
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for investigating, evaluating, reserving, negotiating and resolving assigned serious and complex General Liability claims. Provides quality claim handling throughout the claim life cycle (customer contacts, coverage, investigation, evaluation, reserving, litigation management, negotiation and resolution) including maintaining full compliance with internal and external quality standards and state specific regulations. Provides consulting and training and serves as an expert technical resource to other claim professionals, business partners, customers, and other stakeholders as appropriate or required. This position does not manage staff.
What Will You Do?<ul><li>
CLAIM HANDLING:</li><li>
Directly handle assigned severe claims when Travelers has coverage of $2 million or less and file exposure is greater than $500,000.</li><li>
Provide quality customer service and ensure file quality, timely coverage analysis and communication with insured based on application of policy information to facts or allegations of each case.</li><li>
Directly investigate each claim through prompt and strategically-appropriate contact with appropriate parties such as policyholders, accounts, claimants, law enforcement agencies, witnesses, agents, medical providers and technical experts to determine the extent of liability, damages, and contribution potential.</li><li>
Interview witnesses and stakeholders; take necessary statements, as strategically appropriate.</li><li>
Complete outside investigation as needed per case specifics.</li><li>
Utilize evaluation documentation tools in accordance with department guidelines.</li><li>
Proactively review Claim File Analysis (CFA) for adherence to quality standards and trend analysis.</li><li>
Utilize diary management system to ensure that all claims are handled timely.</li><li>
At required time intervals, evaluate liability and damages exposure.</li><li>
Establish and maintain proper indemnity and expense reserves</li><li>
Effectively and efficiently manage both allocated and unallocated loss adjustment expenses.</li><li>
Actively engage in the identification, selection and direction of appropriate internal and/or external resources for specific activities required to effectively evaluate claims, such as Subrogation, Risk Control, nurse consultants, and fire or fraud investigators, and other experts. Verify the nature and extent of injury or property damage by obtaining and reviewing appropriate records and damages documentation.</li><li>
Maintain claim files and document claim file activities in accordance with established procedures.</li><li>
Apply the Company's claim quality management protocols, and metrics to all claims; document the rationale for any departure from applicable protocols and metrics with or without assistance.</li><li>
Develop and employ creative resolution strategies.</li><li>
Responsible for prompt and proper disposition of all claims within delegated authority.</li><li>
Negotiate disposition of claims with insureds and claimants or their legal representatives.</li><li>
Recognize and implement alternate means of resolution.</li><li>
Manages litigated claims. Develop litigation plan with staff or panel counsel, including discovery and legal expenses, to assure effective resolution and to satisfy customers.</li><li>
Attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, pre-trials, trials and all other legal proceedings, as needed.</li><li>
Update appropriate parties as needed, providing new facts as they become available, and their impact upon the liability analysis and settlement options.</li><li>
Recognize cases, based on severity/complexity protocols, that should be transferred to another level of claim professional and refer on a timely basis.</li><li>
Evaluate all claims for recovery potential; directly handle recovery efforts and/or engage and direct Company resources for recovery efforts.</li><li>
May assist underwriting business partners in marketing and account contact efforts.</li><li>
Attend and/or present at roundtables/ authority discussions for collaboration of technical expertise resulting in improved payout on indemnity and expense.</li><li>
Share experience and deep knowledge of creative resolution techniques to improve the claim results of others.</li><li>
LEADERSHIP</li><li>
Actively provide mentoring and coaching to less experienced claim professionals to increase the technical expertise and improve bench strength.</li><li>
COMMUNICATION/INFLUENCE:</li><li>
Provide guidance to underwriting business partners with respect to accuracy and adequacy of, and potential future changes to, loss reserves on assigned claims.</li><li>
Recommend appropriate cases for discussion at roundtable.</li><li>

What Is the Opportunity?
The AV Implementation Project Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Audio-Visual solutions within a global corporate environment. This role combines deep technical engineering expertise with project management leadership to ensure AV systems are designed and installed in alignment with customer requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in AV technologies and infrastructure, paired with proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects from inception through commissioning.
What Will You Do?
Project &amp; Program Leadership<ul><li>
Own end-to-end delivery of AV implementation projects, from requirements gathering and design review through installation, commissioning, and handoff.</li><li>
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets; proactively identify and mitigate schedule and cost risks.</li><li>
Apply Agile and ScrumBan methodologies to manage iterative delivery cycles, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization across concurrent projects.</li><li>

In this position, you will leverage your expertise to lead Agile practices at the team level for one team, assist with managing the flow of work, creatively solve problems to accomplish outcomes, track team output and achievement, and identify continuous process improvement opportunities.

What Is the Opportunity?
Under direct supervision, this position has responsibility for inspecting, estimating, negotiating, and evaluating 1st and 3rd party auto physical damage claims, including both personal and business insurance claims. The claim types will be basic to moderate physical damage coverages as it relates to damage assessment. This includes collision, comprehensive, property damage related to autos, rental and towing as well as fire, theft, flood, lightning, diminished value claims and any claims that involve injuries. The actual resolution and settlement of these claims will be the responsibility of the Auto Claim Professional. This position will serve as a technical resource for auto claim staff and will provide advice and direction to claim professionals on claim damages to achieve optimal outcomes.
 
 
This position is based 100% remotely and may include a combination of mobile work and/or work from your primary residence. This job does not lead others.

What Will You Do?<ul><li>
Delivers consistent service quality throughout the claim life cycle, including but not limited to prompt contact, explaining the process, setting expectations, on-going effective communication, and follow-through and meeting commitments to achieve optimal outcome on every file.</li><li>
Effectively manages work assignments and promptly travel to location of vehicle / equipment. Arranges to view vehicle / equipment if not readily accessible.</li><li>
Scopes claims utilizing technical expertise and information gathered to accurately determine physical claim value of claims using company recognized resources, estimating and evaluation software.</li><li>
Establishes the physical damage claim value of assigned losses.</li><li>
Prepares and documents accurate vehicle / equipment damage appraisals, Actual Cash and Replacement values according to applicable regulatory and corporate guidelines.</li><li>
Partners with the assigned Claim Professional throughout the life of the claim. Partners from initial investigation through final recovery to ensure appropriate claim resolution and pursuit of alternative recovery sources (e.g. Subrogation, SIU, etc.).</li><li>
Negotiates the claim with the customer and/or repair facilities leveraging appropriate resources and achieve agreement on value including required payments.</li><li>
For applicable Total Loss claims, determines settlement amounts, including applicable coverages and deductibles.</li><li>
Negotiates and conveys claim settlements within authority and initiate payment to the customer, including total loss, rental reimbursement, etc.</li><li>
Provides all lines of business and departments, i.e. property, Boat and Yacht, Inland Marine, Public Sector, etc. with inspection assistance as needed, including Catastrophe response.</li><li>
Effectively manages work assignments and referrals.</li><li>
Reviews and analyzes coverage and apply policy conditions, provisions, exclusions, and endorsements pertinent to a variety of 1st party auto damage claims.</li><li>
When appropriate, conducts damage management including properly managing the repair process.</li><li>
Establishes timely and maintains appropriate claim and expense reserves.</li><li>
Develops, documents and continually updates a plan of action, including maintaining an effective diary to manage the vehicle repair process to assist with bringing the repairs to a timely resolution.</li><li>
Communicates claim damage assessment following negotiation of value with repair facilities.</li><li>
Obtains authorization to initiate payment to the customer/repair facility.</li><li>
In order to perform the essential functions of this job, acquisition and maintenance of Insurance License(s) may be required to comply with state and Travelers requirements.
