Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
Travelers' accounting team serves as the steward of our financial information and controls to ensure compliance with all internal policies and external requirements. The team creates transparency about the health of the company by providing timely, accurate, and actionable information to all stakeholders. 
 
As an AVP, Accounting, you are responsible for oversight and leadership for all financial and accounting activities across multiple business areas with in Business Insurance. You will lead a team working to advance organizational objectives aligned with enterprise goals and ensure more informed strategic decisions. Leveraging your relationship building skills, you will build strong internal and external networks. You are an influential leader that can articulate how financial content can influence business strategy. This position will directly manage others.
What Will You Do?<ul><li>
Leverage business perspectives to lead robust financial analyses and operational perspectives with a focus on key performance metrics (i.e. production, profitability, expense management, staffing).</li><li>
Lead the development and creation of overall financial/business plan, budget, and forecasts.</li><li>
Partner with and influence across multiple functions in order to develop strong analyses and financial and strategic plans.</li><li>
Oversees internal management based financial reporting for complete and consistent results with corporate policies and standards.</li><li>
Oversee creation, accuracy and completeness of external financial statements which may include GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SEC and STAT (Statutory Accounting Principles) with a comprehensive view of the impact they have on the organization.</li><li>
Develop, maintain, and certify complex financial controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.</li><li>
Establish policy and oversee documentation to support internal and external audits while building and managing relationships with internal and external auditors.</li><li>
Oversee and ensure compliance with various financial external regulatory requirements and internal accounting policies.</li><li>
Oversee implementation of business and financial regulatory changes related to financial reporting, such as reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, etc.</li><li>
Provide coaching, training, and mentoring.</li><li>
As a manager of people, provide leadership, coaching, training, planning, staffing, and performance management and development to employees, in addition to ensuring the understanding of departmental objectives, vision, and strategy.</li><li>

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, and/or professional designations, such as CPA, CMA or comparable advanced professional education.</li><li>
Extensive experience with Financial Analysis concepts, principles, processes, applications and accounting practices and principles within the insurance and financial services industry.</li><li>
Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills with the ability to present and influence complex information to senior leadership and functional partners in relevant business terms.</li><li>
Exceptional data analysis skills with the ability to interpret trends and report insights and recommendations to business partners.</li><li>

What Is the Opportunity?
This role is designed for candidates early in their careers or making a change into insurance and includes a structured training program. 
 
As an Associate Claim Rep, Workers Compensation, you will receive comprehensive training in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation while working alongside experienced claim professionals. This position focuses on developing your skills and knowledge to successfully manage workers compensation claims.
 
 
This program can typically last up to 12 months and upon successful completion of this program you will have the skills needed to handle claims independently and progress toward full claims handling responsibility.
What Will You Do?<ul><li>
Actively participate in structured training classes covering insurance policies, specific claim processes, systems, and procedures, including virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training.</li><li>
Assist in reviewing, investigating, and documenting Workers Compensation claims under close supervision.</li><li>

What Is the Opportunity?

This program is typically 9-12 months and upon successful completion of this program you will have the skills needed to handle claims independently and progress toward full claims handling responsibility.
 
 
This position is based remotely with work at residential and commercial locations with a combination of mobile work, work from your primary residence, or the nearest Travelers office.
What Will You Do?<ul><li>
Actively participate in structured training classes covering insurance policies, specific claim processes, systems, and procedures, including virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training.</li><li>
Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under close supervision.</li><li>
Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.</li><li>
Learn to investigate and evaluate all relevant facts and information (including but not limited to analyzing leases, contracts, by-laws and other relevant documents which may have an impact). Determine and apply coverage for building damages per policy terms.</li><li>
Establish accurate scope of damages for building and contents losses and utilizes as a basis for written estimates and/or computer assisted estimates.</li><li>
Provide timely and professional communication to customers, claimants, and internal stakeholders.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of claim activity in claim management systems.</li><li>
Demonstrate openness to continuous learning, particularly in AI and digital transformation.</li><li>

Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
Travelers Data Engineering team constructs pipelines that contextualize and provide easy access to data by the entire enterprise. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in growing and transforming our analytics landscape. In addition to your strong analytical mind, you will bring your inquisitive attitude and ability to translate the stories found in data. You will leverage your ability to design, build and deploy data solutions that capture, explore, transform, and utilize data to support Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and business intelligence/insights. What Will You Do?<ul><li>
Build and operationalize complex data solutions, correct problems, apply transformations, and recommend data cleansing/quality solutions.</li><li>
Design data solutions.</li><li>
Analyze sources to determine value and recommend data to include in analytical processes.</li><li>
Incorporate core data management competencies including data governance, data security and data quality.</li><li>
Collaborate within and across teams to support delivery and educate end users on data products/analytic environment.</li><li>
Perform data and system analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents of moderate complexity and correct as appropriate.</li><li>
Test data movement, transformation code, and data components.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.
</li></ul>What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in STEM related field or equivalent.</li><li>
Six years of related experience.</li><li>
Leverage Your AI Expertise: Utilize your experience with OpenAI and AWS Bedrock to drive innovative projects.</li><li>
Technical Proficiency: Showcase your skills in Python, SQL, AWS, Databricks, and more to develop robust AI applications.</li><li>
Terraform Experience: Bring your Terraform expertise to streamline infrastructure management and deployment.</li><li>
API Design Skills: Contribute to designing and implementing APIs that power seamless integrations and functionalities</li><li>
Proficient use of tools, techniques, and manipulation including Cloud platforms, programming languages, and an understanding of software engineering practices.</li><li>
The ability to deliver work at a steady, predictable pace to achieve commitments, decompose work assignments into small batch releases, and contribute to tradeoff and negotiation discussions.</li><li>
Demonstrated track record of domain expertise including the ability to understand technical concepts and possess in-depth knowledge of immediate systems worked on.</li><li>
Proven problem solving skills including debugging skills, allowing you to determine source of issues in unfamiliar code or systems and the ability to recognize and solve repetitive problems.</li><li>
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with team members and business partners.</li><li>
Leadership - Intermediate leadership skills with a proven track record of self-motivation in identifying personal growth opportunities.</li></ul>
