Trellis Services is hiring instructors to work with children and adolescents (ages 9 to 21) diagnosed with autism in our Edgewood Summer Program. This part-time position is ideal for someone who wants to make a difference in the life of a child! Flexible hours, great pay ($19/hr) and participation in our 401K plan! Great entry level positon and resume builder for someone looking to start their career in Special Education!</p><p></p><p><b><br>
The After School Program is located in Edgewood/Bel Air. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 9:00am-4:00pm the last two weeks of June and first two weeks of August and 12:00pm-6:00pm in July. Flexible schedules are available. Instructors MUST have a valid drivers license and auto insurance. Instructors MUST be willing to get in the pool with their client.</b></p>
Responsibilities:

As a Trellis autism instructor, you will work under the supervision of one of our experienced Case Managers and gain experience using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.</div><ul><li>
Provide one-on-one support with community independence, daily living and recreation/leisure</li><li>
Flexible schedules; afternoon, evening and weekend shifts</li><li>
Additional opportunities available throughout Maryland including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, Howard and Talbot counties</li><li>
Ability to advance into other roles at Trellis</li><li>
Great foundation for a career in special education and related fields</li></ul><div>

Meet the minimum age requirement of 18</li><li>
Eligibility to work in the United States.</li><li>
The ability to pass a background check.</li><li>
Minimum 100 hours of working/volunteer/personal experience with individuals with developmental delays</li><li>
Reliable transportation/Valid Driver's License/Current Auto Insurance</li></ul><div>
Physical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments. You may be asked to engage in any of the following: push, pull, lift up to 35 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs. It is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.</div><div></div><div><br>
