DISC Surgery Center is seeking a Full Time Medical Receptionist for our Valencia, CA location.
In this position, you will:
<ul><li>Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
</li><li>Maintain appearance of the lobby
</li><li>Answer/transfer incoming phone calls
</li><li>Prepare charts for surgery patients and readies for nurse review
</li><li>Obtain lab work and medical clearance for patients
</li><li>Assist with credentialing, medical records, accounts payable, billing/collections, insurance verification, and clinical logs as needed
</li><li>Perform other medical office functions, as needed
</li></ul>To ensure success in this role, you should have:
<ul><li>High school Diploma/GED
</li><li>Two years&rsquo; experience in a medical office, hospital, outpatient surgery center, or related field
</li><li>Experience with Excel, Word, medical billing software and applications
</li><li>Working knowledge of Medical Terminology
</li><li>The ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment with frequent interruptions
</li><li>Be able to lift 30lbs and be able to walk, stand, bend and reach for prolonged periods.
</li></ul>Pay: $21.00 - $27.00/hour
