<b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></div>
<ul><li>Prepares and processes bi-weekly payroll for all employees within the organization.</li>
<li>Accurately enters and maintains payroll updates, in coordination with the Human Resources Department, into the company&rsquo;s payroll system which includes information regarding new hires, terminations, employees&rsquo; hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.</li>
<li>Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, garnishments, and other deductions.</li>
<li>Ensures organization adherence to Tribute Companies Personnel Policies and Procedures as it relates to time entry approval of regular hours worked, overtime, holidays, and accruals of vacation, leave time, and payouts.</li>
<li>Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks, or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.</li>
<li>Verifies the accuracy of federal, state, and social security tax deposits.</li>
<li>Reconciles and processes annual reports for W-2's and related calculations.
</li><li>Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.</li>
<li>Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.</li>
<li>Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.</li>
<li>Completes employment verifications.</li>
<li>Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS and provides vendors with accurate eligibility information.</li>
<li>Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.</li>
<li>Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.</li>
<li>Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.</li>
<li>Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes.</li>
<li>Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, and status changes, including 401(k) enrollments, plan changes, and contribution amounts. Manages the annual catch-up contribution enrollment.</li>
<li>Assists with the open enrollment process.</li>
<li>Provides necessary payroll reports for job costing allocation/billing charges.</li>
<li>Assists with new-hire orientations.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul><div><div><b>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Education and Experience</b><br>
A strong knowledge of payroll tax and wage laws and common fiscal procedures is necessary along with excellent communication skills and computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications. General knowledge of payroll internal control practices and attention to detail and efficiency. The ability to operate independently, with urgency and accuracy is required as well as excellent customer service skills.

Associate&rsquo;s degree with course work in accounting, finance, business administration, human resources, or related field required, and moderate experience in a payroll processing position or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in human resources or finance.</div>
