Job Title: Phlebotomist - I

Working Hours: Location 1<ul><li>
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday &amp; Friday from 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM</li><li>
Total Weekly Hours: 30 hours</li></ul>
Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement
Job Overview:
Trilab Health is seeking a flexible and skilled Phlebotomist to work on in a healthcare facility Champaign, IL. This role involves performing blood draws and other lab-related procedures, ensuring accurate specimen collection and handling. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Familiarity with safety protocols and handling hazardous materials is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Perform blood draws and other laboratory procedures in a professional and courteous manner.</li><li>
Verify patient identities and ensure accurate record-keeping for all procedures.</li><li>
Educate patients on the collection process, including specimen handling and storage.</li><li>
Accurately label and prepare specimens for transport, ensuring their integrity.</li><li>
Communicate effectively with lab staff, management, and healthcare professionals.</li><li>
Adhere to safety protocols and comply with OSHA, HIPAA regulations, and laboratory policies.</li><li>
Participate in ongoing training to maintain and update phlebotomy and lab procedure skills.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Preferred: Completion of a phlebotomy program or certification as a phlebotomist.</li><li>
At least one year of experience in phlebotomy within a clinical setting.</li><li>
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.</li><li>
Knowledgeable in safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.</li><li>
Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.</li></ul>
Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 30 pounds.</li><li>
Manual dexterity needed for blood draws and lab procedures.</li><li>
Visual acuity to read labels, forms, and documents.</li><li>
Capability to work in environments with potential exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials.</li></ul>
Experience:<ul><li>
Phlebotomy: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>
License/Certification:<ul><li>
Phlebotomy Certification (Preferred)</li></ul>
