 What We&rsquo;re Looking For
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 High school diploma or GED
 </li>
 <li>
 Completion of a state‑approved and federally compliant training program, plus passing a competency evaluation
 </li>
 <li>
 At least 1 year of experience as an aide in a home care, hospice, or facility setting
 </li>
 <li>
 Meets all agency hiring standards (including professional references)
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to work independently while maintaining professional, respectful relationships with clients and families
 </li>
 <li>
 Willing to stay up-to-date with agency policies, training, and best practices
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation
 </li>
 <li>

 What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing (Essential Responsibilities)
 
 
 
 
 Client Care &amp; Support
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Follow the care plan created by the RN
 </li>
 <li>
 Share any changes in the client&rsquo;s condition right away
 </li>
 <li>
 Help with personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, mobility, toileting, and more
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with light household tasks: meal prep, feeding, laundry, linens, and light housekeeping
 </li>
 <li>
 Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) when ordered
 </li>
 <li>
 Support simple therapy-directed activities like range-of-motion exercises
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist (but never administer) clients with self‑medication, following RN guidance
 </li>
 <li>
 Help clients safely use home equipment like wheelchairs or side rails
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform basic care tasks such as changing ostomy appliances or external catheter care (as assigned)
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Communication &amp; Documentation
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Document your visit clearly and accurately the same day
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with scheduling to keep your client assignments up to date
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend case conferences when appropriate
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain clear, respectful communication with clients, families, and the care team
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>

 Physical &amp; Work Requirements

 <li>
 Frequent standing, lifting, and walking
 </li>
 <li>
 Occasional bending, stooping, twisting
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to lift up to 35 lbs independently and assist with client positioning
 </li>
 <li>
 Comfort working in changing environments with shifting priorities
 </li>
 <li>
 Travel between client homes as needed
