Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Towing Dispatcher to coordinate and manage towing operations efficiently. In this vital role, you will serve as the communication hub between drivers, customers, and service providers, ensuring timely response to roadside assistance requests and dispatching tow trucks with precision. Your expertise in transportation management systems, GPS technology, and logistics will drive smooth operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and support the overall safety of our fleet. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of roadside assistance services, making a tangible difference every day.Responsibilities<ul><li>Receive and prioritize incoming towing requests via multi-line phone systems and digital platforms, ensuring prompt attention to urgent situations.</li><li>Dispatch tow trucks efficiently using transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and GIS tools to optimize routes and reduce response times.</li><li>Coordinate with drivers, customers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to confirm pickup locations, delivery details, and special instructions.</li><li>Maintain accurate data entry within systems such as towbook for all dispatch activities.</li><li>Monitor fleet management systems to track vehicle locations using GPS and GIS technologies, adjusting plans as needed for traffic or operational changes.</li><li>Communicate clearly with drivers regarding job details, safety protocols, and customer expectations while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.</li><li>Prepare detailed shift reports, incident logs, and delivery documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Proven experience in dispatching within transportation management or logistics environments; familiarity with freight operations is a plus.</li><li>Strong analysis skills to interpret GPS data, GIS maps, and transportation planning tools for efficient routing.</li><li>Proficiency in transportation management systems such as towbook.</li><li>Knowledge of fleet management practices including shipping &amp; receiving procedures and 3PL coordination.</li><li>Excellent communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries effectively.</li><li>Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multi-line phone systems under pressure.</li><li>Familiarity with supply chain processes, logistics principles, and transportation planning strategies.
