Together, our goal is to be the number one choice for customers seeking sustainable metal packaging solutions.Job Summary:This position reports directly to the HRBP.&#8239; The Plant HR Manager&#8239;functions as an additional HR Business Partner for a manufacturing facility in order to align HR objectives with strategic organizational objectives. &#8239;The successful candidate will work closely with and guide management in various areas such as employee relations, leadership development, change management, performance consulting, diversity management, conflict management, legal compliance, etc. &#8239;This position is viewed by the plant team as a partner, coach and resource.Job Duties:<ul><li>Works collaboratively with plant to improve business results and meet objectives.</li><li>Primary plant process owner for payroll and benefits support.</li><li>Assists in developing effective long-term staffing plans to hire the right people in the right jobs at the right time.</li><li>Plan, develop, and implement wage and salary programs to align with corporate human resources with business strategy and external competitive concerns.</li><li>Provide expertise to plant on leadership development, performance management, change management, resource planning, salary planning, etc.</li><li>Consult with employees at all levels through listening objectively and then providing solutions that support positive business results.</li><li>Participate in the development of corporate and departmental goals and objectives with particular focus on alignment of various departments supported.</li><li>Educate and monitor management actions and decisions to maintain compliance with legal requirements.</li><li>Evaluate changing demographics, legal and technical developments in the field, and develop new programs to meet the corporation&rsquo;s needs.</li><li>Challenge and direct the plant management team to apply Trivium values to day-to-day actions and decisions.</li><li>Integrate Trivium standards of Leadership into client systems such as Performance Management, Succession Planning, Selection process, etc.</li><li>Review personnel actions including merit increases, promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions. Ensure all actions comply with internal and external controls.</li><li>Manage the uniform application of policies and procedures and the application of discipline.</li><li>Manage and track safety training, plant incidents/accidents and safety programs, plus case management for worker&rsquo;s compensation, to ensure our employees work in a safe environment.</li><li>Assist sector HR leadership in projects as needed.</li><li>Report HR Metrics.</li><li>Perform all other job duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications and Experience Requirements:<ul><li>Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.</li><li>Five years of progressive experience in Human Resources at a management level.</li><li>Experience independently identifying, developing and leading key strategic projects to meet corporate business goals.</li><li>Ability to guide efforts of plant-level HR resources to identify opportunities and lead change.</li><li>Knowledge of HRIS and payroll software to assure accurate record-keeping, reporting, and administrative compliance consistent with regulatory and internal practices. Ability to utilize available data for assessment of current state on progress of key initiatives.</li><li>Experience in establishing effective approaches to improve employee engagement.</li><li>Effective in problem-solving and dispute resolution.</li><li>Experience and comfort working in a team-based matrix environment at a high level.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and deadlines.</li><li>Ability to establish approaches to improve the effectiveness of employee engagement efforts.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to communicate with all levels of employees especially during difficult and challenging situations.</li><li>Knowledge in the area of talent acquisition, performance management and retention.</li><li>Experience in preparing and delivering training to employees on a number of HR/policy topics.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Organizational skills: 3 years (Required)</li><li>Manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred)</li><li>Human resources: 5 years (Required)</li><li>Employee relations: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Youngstown, OH 44502
