<div><div>SUMMARY:
Transports patients to their in-patient bed and/or to and from other areas such as surgery, therapy, or radiology in a safe and timely manner. Retrieves medical records, lab results, supplies, and medications. Complies with established personal protective equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation, and other hazardous substances. Maintains and cleans equipment. May assist with parking and retrieving patients&rsquo; vehicles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>

Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary, and support department areas as directed.</li><li>
Collects specimens, cultures, non-narcotic medications, orders, and requisitions and delivers items to appropriate destinations.</li><li>
Completes assignment log and obtains authorized signatures for each assignment.</li><li>
Drives patient vehicles as a valet service; meets patients at hospital entrances and assists with getting them into the hospital.</li><li> Performs related duties as assigned.</li></ul><h5 class="jobSectionHeader">
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</h5>
EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
EXPERIENCE: None. This is an entry-level position.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Heartsaver CPR (HSCPR or HSFACPR) certification. Valid AZ driver&rsquo;s license preferred.

Transporter I

<div><div>SUMMARY:
Assists Pharmacist in processing and compounding prescriptions and other drug orders. Pulls prescribed medication from shelf, enters medication charges into the computer, restocks pharmacy automation shelves, and handles telephone inquiries. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>
Assists pharmacists as directed, including filling orders and preparing labels.</li><li>
Coordinates with healthcare team to address pharmacy related concerns.</li><li>
Clarifies orders for all types of medications, documents pertinent information in a clear, complete, concise and organized manner.</li><li>
Complies with Federal and State statutes, rules, and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy.</li><li>
Prepares and makes deliveries to patient care areas and ancillary units.</li><li>
Retail - Processes patient charges for pharmaceuticals as required.</li><li>
Replenishes medicine supply carts/automated dispensing devices; ensures that the pharmacy is stocked with essential drugs and pharmaceuticals.</li><li>
Compounds, labels, and packages pharmaceuticals.</li><li>
Counts, packages, and labels unit doses and fills routine orders for inspection by Pharmacists.</li><li>
Enters or retrieves data from established computer files.</li><li>
Maintains competencies as designated by Department of Pharmacy.</li><li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</h5> 
EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. 
EXPERIENCE: None required. 
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Licensed by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy as Technician Trainee. Pharmacy Technician licensure obtained within one year of hire. Heartsaver CPR (HSCPR or HSFACPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. 
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:<ul><li> Knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and procedures and regulations involving the administering of medications.</li><li> Knowledge of medicine terminology.</li><li> Skill in compounding and processing prescriptions.</li><li> Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</li><li> Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.</li><li> Ability to listen and accurately interpret others&rsquo; communication or instructions to take appropriate action; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.</li><li> Ability to calculate figures and compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs and apply basic algebraic concepts.</li><li> Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</li></ul></div></div>

Pharmacy Technician I Per Diem

Under the direction of a pharmacist assists in processing and compounding prescriptions and other drug orders. Pulls prescribed medication from shelf, enters medication charges into the computer, restocks pharmacy automation, and handles telephone inquiries. Able to perform proficiencies of Pharmacy Technician Level I. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>
Assists pharmacists as directed, including filling orders and preparing labels.</li><li>
Prepares and makes deliveries to patient care areas and ancillary units.</li><li>
Replenishes medicine supply carts/automated dispensing devices; ensures that the pharmacy is stocked with essential drugs and pharmaceuticals.</li><li>
Compounds, labels, and packages pharmaceuticals.</li><li>
Counts, packages, and labels unit doses and fills routine orders for inspection by Pharmacists.</li><li>
Uses aseptic admixture technique in the horizontal or vertical laminar airflow hood as appropriate.</li><li>
Enters or retrieves data from established computer files.</li><li>
Complies with Federal and State statutes, rules, and regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy.</li><li>
Maintains competencies as designated by Department of Pharmacy.</li><li>
Coordinates with health care team to address pharmacy concerns.</li><li>
For pharmacy techs in retail must process patient charges for pharmaceuticals as required.</li><li>
Adheres to TMCH organizational and department-specific safety, confidentiality, values policies, and standards.</li><li> Performs related duties as assigned.</li></ul><h5 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</h5> 
EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. 
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: Due to insurance company requirements, incumbent must be 21 years of age or older, due to incremental use of a company car. 
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Valid Arizona driver&rsquo;s license. Licensed by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician required. Heartsaver CPR (HSCPR or HSFACPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
