<div>Tuerk House, Inc., a leading non-profit behavioral health organization, is seeking a Driver to provide transportation of clients to and from all scheduled appointments outside of Tuerk House Facilities. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Facilities Manager.<br>

<p><b>Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Provide safe, secure, and professional services.</li><li>
Ensure that all clients have appropriate paperwork and plans are in place for travel.</li><li>
Ensure client is aware and has an understanding of transfer or trip.</li><li>
Perform all duties as assigned by All Points Assisted Transportation.</li><li>
Must be physically able to step up and down steps.</li><li>
Must be able to safely secure clients for transport.</li><li>
Must be physically able transport wheelchair patients on paved and unpaved surfaces.</li><li>
Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.</li><li>
Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections.</li><li>
Maintain vehicle cleanliness.</li><li>
Assist clients as needed to safely complete the transfer.</li><li>
Must understand instructions in English (both written and spoken).</li><li>
Must be able to accurately complete activity logs and vehicle reports.</li><li>
Must be able to understand and operate GPS device, radio, and cell phones.</li></ul><div></div><p><b><br>
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities, Education and/or Experience</b>:</p><ul><li>
Must possess a valid Maryland Driver&rsquo;s license and provide a current 10‐year DMV printout.</li><li>
No more than 1 moving violation or 1 &ldquo;at fault&rdquo; accident within the past 3</li></ul><div>
years.</div><ul><li>
Ability to interact effectively with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, and public.</li><li>
CPR and First Aid certification</li><li>
An ability to flexibly engage people based on their individual needs.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to respect and maintain appropriate and professional boundaries with management, peers, customers and clients at all times.</li><li>
Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to read, understand and speak English.</li><li>
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.</li></ul><p>

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:</div><div></div><div><br>
The Peer Recovery Coach (PRC) supports the Admissions or Clinical Director by serving as a role model, mentor, advocate, and motivator for clients in recovery. The PRC assists clients in identifying and accessing appropriate resources for long-term stability. This role involves follow-up with former patients who have successfully left the program, with a particular focus on those who did not complete the recovery process. The PRS will provide ongoing engagement, support, and encouragement, updating the Kipu system with client outcomes.</div><div></div><div><div><br>
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</div><ul><li>
Client Support: Identify obstacles to accessing services and work collaboratively with clients and their Individual Recovery Management Team to address these challenges.</li><li>
Discharge Planning: Ensure that all clients have appropriate discharge plans in place that are clearly understood. Provide support as needed for implementation.</li><li>
Community Connections: Facilitate connections to mutual self-help groups when appropriate.</li><li>
Peer Advocacy: Provide peer support that prioritizes clients' voices and needs, helping them to establish their goals and objectives.</li><li>
Needs Assessment: Assist clients in identifying areas where they need professional support and communicate these needs to clinical staff.</li><li>
Transportation: Transport clients to appropriate referral sources or safe environments as necessary.</li><li>
Resource Coaching: Coach clients on the independent use of community resources.</li><li>
Ongoing Engagement: Maintain contact with clients via phone and/or email to offer continued peer support and re-engagement assistance post-program.</li><li>
Recovery Education: Provide educational support for clients at all phases of their recovery journey, from pre-recovery engagement to sustained recovery maintenance.</li><li>
Community Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with community groups and agencies.</li><li>
Documentation: Complete necessary documentation, reports, and data capture in accordance with Stabilization Center processes.</li><li>
Referrals: Refer clients to appropriate community services and document referrals and outcomes.</li><li>
Conduct client room searches to ensure program compliance, check for contraband and cleanliness.
</li><li>Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned.</li></ul><div>
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:</div><ul><li>
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.</li></ul></div><div><ul><li>
Completion of Connecticut Community for Recovery (CCAR) training required OR obtained within the first six (6) months of employment.</li><li>
Zero (0) to two (2) years or more experience in field or related field</li><li>
CPR/AED and de-escalation skills certification preferred.</li><li>
A valid driver&rsquo;s license may be required depending on the business unit placement.</li><li>
Previous experience in a peer recovery support role or similar environment preferred</li></ul><p>
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</p><ul><li>
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn in-house software.</li><li>
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>
Personal belief in recovery and the recovery process.</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, clients, and the public.</li><li>
High energy, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.</li><li>
Ability to engage clients flexibly based on their individual needs.</li><li>
Respect for and maintenance of professional boundaries with all individuals.</li><li>
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.</li><li>
Proficiency in reading, understanding, and speaking English.</li></ul><div>
Background: This position requires successful background and drug test completion</div><div></div><div><br>
Physical Requirements:</div></div><div><ul><li>
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.</li><li>
This role requires the individual to possess full physical mobility, including the ability to bend, lift, twist, reach, and perform other physical activities necessary for the safe and effective execution of job duties.</li></ul><div></div><p><br>

The compensation for this position will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus.
