About You:

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you work directly with manufacturers to design, build, and deploy solutions on Tulip's Frontline Operations Platform. You operate at the intersection of solution engineering, manufacturing operations, and customer outcomes, translating real shop-floor problems into scalable, production-ready solutions.

You will embed with customers at their facility to rapidly implement applications, integrations, and workflows that improve quality, productivity, and traceability across manufacturing operations.

What skills do I need?

Must be able to travel up to 50%
<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial software, or manufacturing-focused technology roles, with at least 4 years of experience in direct, customer-facing or consultant roles</li>
<li>Ability to walk a shop floor and independently identify opportunities for operational improvement</li>
<li>Experience with Operations Technology, including MES, ERP, quality, or production systems (Architecture and implementation experience strongly preferred)</li>
<li>Experience integrating systems and devices in manufacturing environments</li>
<li>Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, quality, traceability, and operational constraints</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead complex technical or operational initiatives end to end</li>
<li>Strong project management, organization, and communication skills</li>
<li>Comfortable and experienced in customer-facing, technically deep conversations</li>
<li>Ability to think creatively and strategically while delivering practical solutions</li>
<li>A demonstrated commitment to viewing problems through the customer's lens</li>
<li>Ability to learn quickly and lead by example in ambiguous environments</li>
<li>BS degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)</li>
</ul>
Key Responsibilities:

Customer-Embedded Solution Delivery
<ul>
<li>Partner with plant-level and corporate stakeholders at a customer's site (operators, engineers, IT, quality, operations leadership)</li>
<li>Lead design, build, and deployment of customer-specific Tulip solutions</li>
<li>Work side by side with customers and partners to implement solutions in live manufacturing environments</li>
<li>Deploy solutions to live production environments with minimal disruption</li>
</ul>
OT / IT Integration
<ul>
<li>Integrate with shop-floor systems such as PLCs, MES/ERP, and quality systems</li>
<li>Work with machine data, events, and production context (orders, materials, routings)</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues spanning software, data, and operational workflows</li>
<li>Serve as the technical owner for forward-deployed customer solutions</li>
</ul>
Technical Leadership &amp; Enablement
<ul>
<li>Serve as the technical authority during customer deployments</li>
<li>Advise on architecture, scalability, security, and reliability in regulated or high-availability environments</li>
<li>Document solutions and share learnings across internal teams</li>
<li>Communicate and work with broader customer team to strategize for success</li>
</ul>
Product &amp; Platform Feedback
<ul>
<li>Represent the voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams, and collaborate to influence Product roadmap and feature design</li>
<li>Help generalize customer-specific solutions into reusable product capabilities</li>
<li>Contribute to internal process development, best practices, and cross-team collaboration</li>

About the Role:

You'll own the content that shapes how Tulip wins in the market. That means the editorial strategy, the programs that create pipelines, the content Sales actually uses in deals, and the framework that connects all of it to commercial outcomes. This is a senior IC role. Tulip is replacing the legacy systems running factory floors around the world, and the story hasn't been told the way it deserves to be. The factory floor is having its biggest software moment in a generation. You'll be the one writing the narrative for it.

About You:

<li>You understand the difference between content that builds brand over time and content that moves a deal forward next week, and you know how to make both.</li>

What skills do I need?
<ul>
<li>5-8+ years of B2B SaaS or technical content marketing experience, with a portfolio spanning thought leadership, campaign content, and full-funnel programs</li>
<li>Track record of owning a content program end to end and connecting it to pipeline and revenue outcomes</li>
<li>Strong editorial instincts and writing craft: you can write for a VP of Operations and a</li>
<li>SDR in the same week</li>
<li>Experience partnering with Product Marketing and Demand Gen to translate positioning into content that performs in the sales motion</li>
<li>Demonstrated use of AI to materially change content output or economics, not just personal productivity</li>
</ul>
Key Responsibilities:

Editorial strategy and program ownership
<ul>
<li>Own Tulip's content strategy: editorial calendar, formats, distribution approach, and the performance framework that connects content to pipeline</li>
<li>Create high-quality content across formats (thought leadership, customer stories, campaign assets, social, and sales enablement) and manage agency and freelance contributors for scale</li>
<li>Partner with Product Marketing to translate vertical positioning and launch narratives into content that lands with buyers</li>
</ul>
Commercial content and Sales partnership
<ul>
<li>Work with Demand Generation to develop campaign content that drives net-new pipeline, and measure contribution to sourced and influenced revenue</li>
<li>Build sales enablement content that reps actually use: specific enough to be useful, sharp enough to change how they tell the story</li>
<li>Own content for Tulip's flagship moments: Hannover Messe, Operations Calling, customer events, and major product launches</li>
</ul>
AI-assisted content operations
<ul>
<li>Build AI-assisted editorial workflows that raise team throughput without lowering the quality bar: research pipelines, drafting systems, repurposing frameworks, distribution automation</li>
<li>Set the standard for how AI gets used in content work at Tulip. Evaluate what's worth adopting, build repeatable processes, and be specific about where human judgment is irreplaceable</li>
<li>Track content performance and use data to improve: what formats earn attention, what converts, what Sales uses, and where the gaps are</li>
</ul>
