Tupper Lake Public Library is hiring two (2) Library Clerks to join the team. Library Clerks perform duties across a range of activities in the library.Duties:<ul><li>Circulation: register patrons, check books in/out, place books on hold, participate in the interlibrary loan process, search for books, and other projects as assigned.</li><li>Collection development: assist with book selection, assist with and manage aspects of weeding projects, track invoices and purchases, confirm deliveries, and more.</li><li>Conservation and Preservation: flag books for repair, coordinate repair and binding of materials, and/or perform book repair tasks, and other projects.</li><li>Shelf and File Maintenance: perform shelf-reading and other stacks maintenance tasks, assist with filing and archival projects, and other related tasks.</li><li>Outreach: assist with programs, social media, events, advertising and other tasks centered on promoting the library&rsquo;s resources and services to the community.</li></ul>Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>High School Diploma (or equivalency)</li><li>One (1) year of clerical experience</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Public library (or public service) experience</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits:<ul><li>$20.00 per hour</li><li>15 - 20 hours per week, Tuesday - Saturday schedule</li><li>Employee will accrue sick and personal/bonus time</li></ul>To apply: send cover letter, resume, three professional references, and Franklin County Civil Service application to: goffnelson@gmail.com.Equal Opportunity EmployerPay: From $20.00 per hourWork Location: In person
