POSITION OVERVIEW</b></p>
<p>
Assists in the day-to-day activities of the construction and maintenance operations by completing assigned tasks</p>
<p><b>
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Completes lawn and plant care tasks, including mowing, edging, weeding, and mulching</li>
<li>Completes assigned tasks efficiently, thoroughly, and in accordance with company production rates and requirements</li>
<li>Operates all landscaping equipment in accordance with manufacturer and safety standards</li>
<li>Uses basic tools safely and properly, including but not limited to, shovels, grading rakes, spades, grub hoes, and wheelbarrows</li>
<li>Follows all project plans, material lists, and/or guidelines</li>
<li>Ensures installation of all lawns, plants, and masonry align with company standards</li>
<li>Maintains a clean and safe work site including proper maintenance and care of all company equipment</li>
<li>Works in a safe manner and reports any/all unsafe conditions to Crew Leader and/or Maintenance/Construction Operations Manager</li>
<li>Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices</li>
<li>Position may perform other duties as assigned</li>

This is an entry-level role requiring hands-on labor, use of landscaping tools and equipment, and adherence to safety standards. Under the supervision of a Crew Leader, the Landscape Technician supports the successful completion of daily work assignments and contributes to maintaining the health, appearance, and cleanliness of client properties.</p><p><b><br>

<p><b>Accountabilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li><b>Landscape Maintenance &amp; Installation:</b> Mow, edge, and trim lawns using walk-behind or riding mowers, edgers, and string trimmers; Perform planting, mulching, weeding, watering, and soil preparation tasks; Assist with pruning shrubs, small trees, and perennials using hand or power tools; Rake leaves, remove debris, and maintain cleanliness of work areas; Apply mulch and other materials as directed; Support seasonal clean-up tasks such as leaf removal and snow prep (if applicable)</li>
<li><b>Equipment Operation &amp; Site Support:</b> Safely operate hand tools, backpack blowers, trimmers, shears, and other landscape equipment; Load, unload, and organize tools and materials for daily jobs; Assist with basic maintenance and cleaning of tools and vehicles; Follow direction from the Crew Leader and contribute to job site efficiency</li>
<li><b>Safety &amp; Compliance:</b> Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times; Adhere to company policies and supervisor instructions; Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately; Participate in daily job briefings or safety meetings as assigned</li>

<li><b>Licensing/Certification:</b> Valid state driver's license preferred but not required</li>

<p><b>Working Conditions and Availability Disclosure:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, as well as regular use of hands and arms to perform manual labor and operate landscaping equipment. Employees must be able to lift and carry materials and tools weighing up to 50 pounds, with heavier lifting being team-assisted or reasonably accommodated. The role involves the operation of various landscaping tools and equipment such as trimmers, blowers, mowers, and shovels. It also requires sufficient visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to safely perform detailed tasks and operate machinery. Additionally, the position may occasionally involve climbing or working at heights, including on ladders, slopes, or uneven terrain.</li>
<li>Work is regularly performed outdoors and exposes the employee to a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and sun. There is potential exposure to noise, dust, pollen, and various plant and chemical materials commonly used in landscaping. The job may require working on uneven terrain, near traffic, or within active construction zones. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, and boots, is required to ensure safety on the job</li>
