Tutor.com is hiring High Dosage Tutors for high dosage, small group in-person sessions with K12 students. This position is a daytime, scheduled hours position perfect for retired and former teachers, substitute teachers, or anyone with mathematics subject matter expertise who is looking for an in-person tutoring role in a school.</p>
<p><b>
Major Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Tutor small groups of students in a school setting.</li>
<li>Meet with the same group of students, multiple times a week at a scheduled time during the regular school day concurrent with the academic term.</li>
<li>Engage students using manipulatives and online tools such as an interactive whiteboard.</li>
<li>Utilize student assessment data to determine gaps in knowledge</li>
<li>Deliver provided standards-aligned digital curriculum</li>
<li>Provide quality reports to Tutor.com staff, teachers, and school administrators on student achievement</li>
<li>Collaborate with Instructional Specialists to advance instructional practices and deliver high quality tutoring.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Requirements:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Participate in training and professional development to understand and apply the methodology of high dosage tutoring.</li>
<li>Currently reside and eligible to work in the U.S.</li>
<li>Available to tutor up to 10 hours per week during the school day. Schedule may change slightly from semester to semester.</li>
<li>Capable of utilizing and changing approach as necessary to ensure student engagement and understanding</li>
<li>Able to demonstrate knowledge in English Language Arts (ELA)</li>
<li>Possess strong communication skills with fluency in English</li>
<li>Earned a 4-year degree (or higher) from an accredited university</li>
<li>Teaching certificate not required</li>
<li>Candidates with a background as an ELA Teacher or ELA Tutor in a High School, Middle School or Elementary Schools are preferred</li>
