Overview Small law firm seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal/legal assistant to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of family law. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Paralegal/legal assistant will support attorney in preparing legal documents and managing case files to ensure efficient operations within the law office. Flexible as to remote/on site work environment.Duties<ul><li>Assist attorney in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, and motions.</li><li>Manage case files and maintain organized documentation through document management systems.</li><li>Perform document review and tasks as needed.</li><li>Interview clients to gather relevant information for cases.</li><li>Provide executive administrative support including data entry, filing, and clerical tasks.</li><li>Draft correspondence and legal documents while ensuring accuracy through proofreading.</li><li>Collaborate with attorney on litigation matters and assist in trial preparation.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficient in Easy Soft, Mycase and other legal software applications.</li><li>Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.</li><li>Familiarity with family law is preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in legal administrative roles with a focus on clerical duties such as filing and phone etiquette.</li><li>Ability to manage legal case files efficiently.</li><li>Strong attention to detail with capabilities in proofreading and document management.</li><li>Effective communication skills.
