We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to support the educational needs of students at IB Perrine Elementary School as a Title I Paraprofessional. This part-time position involves working closely with teachers and students to provide assistance in a variety of classroom settings. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that enhances student achievement.<br>

Responsibilities<br>
<ul><li>Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional plans and activities for students, particularly those who require additional support.</li><li>Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring to students in reading, writing, and math.</li><li>Monitor and document student progress, behavior, and engagement, providing feedback to teachers as needed.</li><li>Help prepare instructional materials and classroom resources to enhance learning experiences.</li><li>Support students in developing social skills and positive behaviors.</li><li>Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe and organized learning environment.</li><li>Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to identify student needs and implement appropriate interventions.</li><li>Participate in professional development and training as required.</li></ul><br>
Requirements<br>
<ul><li>2 years of college, an AA degree, or successfully completed the ParaPro Assessment (Praxis Exam)</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, teachers, and parents.</li><li>Ability to remain patient, calm, and supportive in challenging situations.</li><li>Proficiency in using technology and educational software relevant to special education.</li><li>Ability to lift and assist students as needed for mobility and participation in activities.</li><li>Willingness to undergo background checks and comply with school district policies and procedures.</li></ul></div><p>
