UI Production Designer &ndash; Mobile App Design100 % Remote Notes<ul><li>We are not looking for general product/UX designers.</li><li>This role is for a technically-minded designer who bridges the gap between design and development.</li><li>They MUST have an online portfolio and it MUST show they experience building design systems (not just using them) AND demonstrate a strong ability to deliver designs through the development process.</li><li>This role is Ideal for frontend developers turned UI designers, or production designers but they MUST have experience delivering web/mobile apps.</li></ul>Job Summary: <ul><li>As a Production Designer on our Design Foundations team, you will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless transition of product design details through the development lifecycle</li><li>Collaborating closely with product and development teams, your mission is to uphold the highest standards of design within our products.</li></ul>Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Developer Handoffs &amp; Support: Provide detailed, well-documented design specifications for product features and act as the primary point of contact for resolving design-related questions during development.</li><li>Cross-functional Collaboration: Work alongside product designers, product managers, and engineers to identify and define the necessary design details to deliver a consistent user experience.</li><li>Design System Oversight: Critically review design concepts for component usage and translate finalized designs into detailed production-ready documentation. Ensure the highest standard for consistency of visual elements and UX patterns.</li><li>Design System Contribution: Help evolve and refine the ADC Design System, UX guidelines, and processes that govern it. Facilitate collaboration and brainstorming sessions with the Product Design team. Document and train users of the design system to increase utilization and correct usage.</li><li>Design File Maintenance and Change Management: Create, revise, and maintain design files, including component libraries and developer handoff files that are easy to navigate. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of executing changes within Figma to ensure smooth, efficient updates.</li></ul>Ideal Candidate: <ul><li>Demonstrates a strong foundation in both design principles and technical implementation, with the ability to bridge the gap between design and development.</li><li>Has extensive experience with Figma, including file management, component creation, and collaboration features.</li><li>Experience with design system maintenance and evolution, possessing a keen eye for detail and consistency.</li><li>Exhibits strong communication skills, capable of working effectively across different teams and disciplines.</li><li>Is proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement and capable of implementing practical solutions.</li><li>Brings a passion for delivering high-quality user experiences, with a user-centered approach to design and development.</li></ul>Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in design / human factors or related field, with minimum of 4 years relevant work experience.</li></ul>Job Type: ContractPay: $65.00 - $67.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Frontend developers who transitioned into UI design.: 5 years (Preferred)</li><li>UI/UX designers with strong technical background: 5 years (Preferred)</li><li>end-to-end product lifecycle: 5 years (Preferred)</li><li>design systems documentation: 5 years (Preferred)</li><li>UI production, and developer: 5 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: Remote
