<div><b>JOB SUMMARY:</b><br>
Serves as a vital member of the TrueSport team to implement a robust content and communication strategy focused on increasing awareness of TrueSport, documenting impact, driving audience and brand engagement, and encouraging positive behavior change in the youth sport community. Writes, edits, and acts as the primary point of contact internally and externally for the development, maintenance, and distribution of TrueSport content in all mediums. Represents and promotes the TrueSport brand as needed at events, engaging with event attendees and serving as a knowledgeable spokesperson.</div>

<div><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></div>
<ul><li>Assist with the development and implementation of a proactive editorial and distribution calendar for TrueSport content.</li>
<li>Help identify, coordinate with, and interview subject matter experts whose values and expertise align with the TrueSport brand.</li>
<li>Write and edit engaging, evidence-based content while ensuring alignment with brand standards, communication strategy, and program objectives.</li>
<li>Ensure completion and distribution of content and other projects by deadlines.</li>
<li>Support a comprehensive media and social media monitoring program to ensure TrueSport is aware of up-to-the-minute stories, articles, and trends affecting youth sport.</li>
<li>Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop various forms of content, including graphics and videos, and share across distribution channels, including web and social media.</li>
<li>Help create and distribute newsletters while maintaining audience lists.</li>
<li>Post and distribute content to external sites and partner platforms.</li>
<li>Assist in the concept development, writing, and review of TrueSport publications.</li>
<li>Cultivate relationships with trusted media and content outlets to share impactful stories and insights; develop and distribute pitches, press releases, and other media materials. Help prepare staff and partners for media engagements.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal and external partners to support and implement a website and social media strategy, as well as digital marketing initiatives.</li>
<li>Support the collection and analysis of data to regularly evaluate strategies and tactics and make evidence-based recommendations for improvement.</li>
<li>Help develop and implement digital and print campaigns to boost engagement and awareness.</li>
<li>Champion new workflows, tools, and processes for the continuous improvement of TrueSport&rsquo;s content and brand presence.</li>
<li>Travel as necessary to conferences, trade shows, or events to deliver presentations or support/promote/document TrueSport engagement.</li>
</ul><div><b>GENERAL:</b></div>
<ul><li>Must possess knowledge of youth sport culture, including key stakeholders (athletes, parents, coaches) and trends in the youth sport ecosystem</li>

<li>Excellent communication skills and an ability to engage with constituents, partners, and athletes.</li>
<li>Must have strong organizational skills and an ability to effectively manage a variety of projects and schedules.</li>
<li>Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners through clear communication and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Must maintain confidentiality at all times.</li>

</ul><div><b>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b></div>
<ul><li>BS / BA degree in communications, journalism, English, or a related field; or equivalent and applicable experience.</li>
<li>Minimum of one year of experience in writing and/or editing communications, public relations, journalism, or related field and/or demonstrated experience in digital/interactive communications vehicles.</li>
<li>Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling content across channels and audiences.</li>
<li>A versatile writer who can easily transition from creative storytelling to website and social media copy.</li>
<li>Must demonstrate knowledge of media relations fundamentals, including how to develop pitches, press releases, and talking points for staff and partners.</li>
<li>Demonstrated skill in capturing and sharing learnings from campaigns and content experiments to inform future planning.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners.</li>
<li>Value integrity, justice, and respect among internal and external constituents.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail.</li>
<li>Moderate proficiency in MS Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).</li>
<li>Experience simultaneously managing multiple content projects and editorial calendars, balancing timelines, priorities, and deliverables.</li>
<li>Ability to multitask and work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines.</li>
<li>Ability to identify challenges early and proactively adapt when challenges arise.</li>
<li>Ability to work flexible hours and travel, up to 25% of the time.</li>
</ul><div><b>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</b></div>
<ul><li>Three (3) years of experience in writing and/or editing communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or related field and/or extensive experience in digital/interactive communications vehicles.</li>
<li>Experience developing content specifically for youth sport participants and influencers.</li>
<li>Knowledge of youth sport culture.</li>
<li>Experience using programs such as Canva, MailChimp, social media platforms, and the Adobe Suite.</li></ul></div></div>
