<div>HOW YOU&rsquo;LL MAKE AN IMPACT
As a Project Manager you&rsquo;ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping advance the goals of USGBC&rsquo;s Project Management Office (PMO). USGBC&rsquo;s Project Management Office (PMO) is going through an expansion phase and is seeking a champion of project management governance within the organization to foster adoption and drive operational excellence in alignment with our mission and strategic goals.
You will be overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet all scope, timeline, and budget requirements. This will be achieved by managing the respective schedules, budgets, resources, execution of technology development and project deliverables to ensure the effort is delivering business results by adhering to project management best practices. Knowledge of larger landscapes without neglecting granular details while tracking project health, staying alert for risk, and resolving issues as they arise. Maintains standards and monitors project scope and quality requirements, he or she will support the project management governance framework.
You&rsquo;ll report to the reporting directly to the Director of Project Management and be part of a collaborative specialized team environment where your contributions will help shape impactful outcomes. This position is responsible for day-to-day project management activities and will work collaboratively with all stakeholders (departments and teams) within the organization to achieve successful project execution, while driving continuous process improvements and operational efficiencies. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management Governance<ul><li>
Define and document project scope, objectives, and desired outcome for both technology-driven, and non-technology driven projects.</li><li>
Set and manage stakeholder expectations, both internally and externally.</li><li>
Facilitate resource requirements definition for project tasks.</li><li>
Provide project updates to stakeholders as per demand and requirement</li><li>
Ensure project delivery is on time, as per scope, and within the allocated budget.</li><li>
Track project performance periodically to ensure both short-term and long-term goals are met.</li><li>
Create and maintain detailed project documentation.</li><li>
Undertake risk management to minimize potential risks.</li><li>
Manage interdepartmental coordination to ensure smooth project execution between all stakeholders.</li><li>
Host project meetings with internal and external clients to keep them up to date on milestones and overall project status</li><li>
Ensure change management and communication activities are identified and executed effectively.</li><li>
Support business performance metrics reporting to ensure successful execution of projects/programs, attainment of intended return on investment (ROI) benefits (maximization of customer satisfaction, profitability, and market share).</li><li>
Ensure quality standards through testing and validation activities.</li></ul> 
Strategic Alignment<ul><li>
Ensure project objectives are aligned with company goals and are understood by all stakeholders.</li><li>
Ensure project and its respective stakeholders represent the organization&rsquo;s global presence.</li><li>
Ensure that all project deliverables meet the USGBC quality standards.</li></ul> 
Process Improvement<ul><li>
Be a change maker for project management governance within the organization.</li><li>
Advocate for the PMO vision, strategy, annual goals, and success factors to the USGBC organization</li><li>
Encourage innovation and diverse perspective throughout the project life cycle</li><li>
Be aware of industry best practices, techniques, and standards, and encourage PMO utilization of them to foster effective project execution</li></ul> 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience<ul><li>
At least 5+ years of experience in project management.</li><li>
At least 5+ years of experience supporting information technology teams (IT) projects or technology development and familiarity with software development practices (Waterfall, Hybrid and Agile Scrum)</li><li>
At least 5+ years of experience with performance metrics for project management.</li><li>
At least 1+ years of experience working in a Project Management Office Environment, or similar team/department</li><li>
Proficiency in stakeholder management and managing relationships with project team, management, and vendors/ partners, to drive effective communication and alignment</li></ul> 
Education<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in computer science, information systems, business management or related field, or equivalent work experience</li></ul> 
Technology/System(s)<ul><li>
Knowledge of related software development and project management tools like JIRA, Smartsheet, resource management tools.</li></ul> 
Skills<ul><li>
Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others.</li><li>
Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles.</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with both technical and nontechnical audiences</li><li>
Self-directed with a strong sense of personal accountability but a champion of teamwork.</li><li>
Customer focused with a commitment to quality.</li><li>
Strong problem solving and time management skills; high attention to detail</li><li>
Supports innovation and understands change and the need for continuous process improvement.</li></ul> 
Certifications<ul><li>
Project Management Professional (PMP) active certification or equivalent (Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)</li><li>
Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)</li><li>
Project Management Professional from the International Project Management Association (IPMA)</li><li>
PRINCE2 Foundation (PRINCE2 Practitioner)</li><li>
Certified Project Manager (CPM)</li><li>
Candidate who are in the process of obtaining their certification will be considered</li></ul>

Salary
Final compensation and benefits will be confirmed at the time of offer and may vary based on factors such as internal equity, relevant experience, qualifications, and employment status. Please note that salary negotiations will not extend beyond the top of the internal salary range.

Location: This position can be either hybrid (one day a week if local to Washington, DC) or remote 
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm EST, 40 hours per week, including occasional evenings
