<p>The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers, and staff. The CAO organization comprises more than 800 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, childcare, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel.</p>
<p>This position is in the Immediate Office, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), U.S. House of Representatives (House), serving as an Intern and is appointed on a temporary basis for a period not to exceed 120 days. The Intern will be provided a structured educational opportunity through exposure to the business operations of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Intern will have the opportunity to rotate through different assignments to gain real life experience for their degree, certification, or professional development. This position does not have day-to-day supervisory/managerial responsibilities.</p>

<p><b>** The CAO standard business hours are 8:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week internship that will require onsite attendance in Washington, D.C.</b></p>

The House Human Capital Office is responsible for providing human-resource related support to Member, Committee, and Leadership Offices. The House Human Capital Office's offerings include: the House Intern Resource Office, the Office of Talent and Development, the Office of Employee Assistance, the House Center for Well-Being, and the Green and Gold Congressional Aide Program.
