<div><b>General Description</b></div>
<div>
Assigns, reviews, organizes and supervises assigned personnel engaged in the repair &amp; maintenance of all company mobile equipment to include forklifts, backhoes, tractors, and mowers; construction, modification, maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities including maintenance tasks related to landscape, plumbing, painting, lighting, custodial duties and general maintenance of US Sugar buildings and structures; and performs a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.</div><br>

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:</b></div>
<ul>
<li>Supervises weekly, monthly, and annual preventative maintenance carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC work to maintain buildings and equipment in safe condition.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Plans and schedules preventive maintenance to repair or modify defects and maintain operating condition of facilities and equipment using a computer and appropriate forms; obtains and provides job estimates/quotes and job completion notification using various communication formats, including computer.</li>
<li>Prices and requisitions materials and suppliers for projects and regular operations.</li>
<li>Coordinates with vendors and contractors to determine that work is correctly performed and completed as estimated.</li>
<li>Plans, organizes, controls, integrates, and evaluates the activities and operations related to the construction, maintenance and repair of office buildings and the various features such as HVAC, plumping, electrical, painting and landscape.</li>
<li>Coordinates the organization, staffing, and operation activities for assigned maintenance and operations programs; directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for assigned maintenance and operations services and activities; assigns work activities and projects; monitors workflow; reviews and evaluates work products, methods, and procedures; meets with staff to identify and resolve problems.</li>
<li>Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and priorities; recommends and participates in the implementation of resulting policies and procedures; monitors work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Identifies opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures; identifies resource needs; reviews with appropriate management staff; implements improvements.</li>
<li>Interrelates effectively and diplomatically in all areas of employee relations, always projecting a professional image in keeping with the US Sugar Savannah goals and objectives while exercising the highest degree of confidentiality; selects, trains, motivates, and evaluates assigned personnel; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies; implements discipline and termination procedures.</li>
<li>Assists in the development and administration of assigned program budget; forecasts funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies.</li>
<li>Directs in the design, construction, integration, modification and maintenance of landscape, HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems as related to office and warehouse buildings.</li>
<li>Supervises the investigation, trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of buildings.</li>
<li>Supervises the forklift maintenance staff and contractors to assure all forklifts and mobile equipment is repaired and maintained to a high standard consistent with the OSHA mobile equipment standard.</li>
<li>Maintains, reviews, and records a variety of reports, including daily activity reports, work orders, work requests, monthly statistical reports, and other reports and records as required. Reviews vendor/contractor invoices and proposals and recommends payment upon receipt of material/completion of work.</li>
<li>Develops and recommends modifications to assigned maintenance and operations programs, policies, and procedures as appropriate.</li></ul><br>

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:</b></div>
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>10 years of experience in facilities and mobile equipment maintenance &amp; repair, (e.g., HVAC, electrical, carpentry, plumbing).</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li>
<li>Must be able to analyze and problem-solve complex technical problems.</li>
<li>Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</li>
<li>Ability to perform job functions such as:</li>
<ul><li>Read blueprints.</li>
<li>Heavy lifting/moving (more than 50 lbs.), bending, crouching, climbing, and working from heights.</li>
</ul><li>Must be able to speak, read, and write English, have good interpersonal and communication skills, including mathematical, reasoning, written and verbal skills.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to use parts books and service manuals.</li>
<li>Must have basic computer skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work anywhere within the company and in variable/extreme weather conditions.</li>
<li>May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.</li></ul><br>
