This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence and client success.Duties<ul><li>Prepare and review individual, business, estate, and trust tax returns with precision and attention to detail.</li><li>Represent clients during IRS audits and resolve tax disputes efficiently through expert negotiation and compliance strategies.</li><li>Provide comprehensive tax planning advice, including estate planning, trust management, and investment strategies aligned with current laws such as securities law and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit).</li><li>Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports using accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools.</li><li>Assist clients with corporate accounting tasks such as double entry bookkeeping, general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable management, and regulatory reporting.</li><li>Offer guidance on complex financial concepts including GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), mergers &amp; acquisitions, private equity transactions, and non-profit accounting.</li><li>Support clients in budgeting, asset management, financial planning, and investment analysis to maximize financial growth opportunities.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations by performing audits and internal controls reviews while maintaining thorough documentation of all processes.</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>Proven experience in public accounting or a related financial services field with a strong background in tax experience and technical accounting.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of tax laws related to wills, trusts &amp; estate law; securities law; and regulatory reporting requirements.</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, report writing, interpretation of financial data, and account reconciliation techniques.</li><li>Familiarity with various accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools for bookkeeping and financial statement preparation.</li><li>Strong understanding of GAAP standards along with practical experience in auditing procedures and SOX compliance frameworks.</li><li>Excellent analysis skills combined with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to clients at all levels.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
