We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team at USpireND in Rugby, ND as a Family Support Specialist. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to families through our Early Childhood Home Visiting program.</p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Responsibilities:</b></h3><ul><li>
Conduct regular home visits to provide guidance and support to families participating in the program.</li><li>
Assess family needs and develop individualized support plans to address those needs.</li><li>
Provide resources and referrals to families to help them access necessary services and support systems.</li><li>
Engage parents, identifying strengths to build upon, using techniques to build trusting relationships and overcome barriers to

participation in the program</li><li>
Assist in strengthening the parent child relationship and parenting skills.</li><li>
Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive support for families.</li><li>
Use reflective supervision and practices to continue strengthening skills in delivering services.</li><li>
Document all interactions and progress made with families in a timely and accurate manner.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications:</b></h3><ul><li>
Preferred: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Child Development or Human Services Field or a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of experience in working with children and/or families.</li><li>
Knowledge of infant and child development along with parent-child attachment principles.</li><li>
Experience in working with or providing services to children and families, to include experience and humility in working with culturally diverse families.</li><li>
Strong communication skills and open to reflective practices.</li><li><p>
Required: Valid Driver&rsquo;s License and auto insurance.</p><p>

USpireND has an exciting opportunity within the Healthy Families Program as a Family Support Specialist. This position offers room for considerable growth within the organization. As a Family Support Specialist your role is responsible for building trusting relationships with families based on the Healthy Families America model. The FSS will visit families virtually, in their homes or other established location to provide support in establishing positive home environments, promoting strong attachments through parent child relationships, and encouraging the well-being of children and families. Utilizing a strengths-based approach the FSS will practice reflective strategies to strengthen parent-child relationships, improve parenting skills, teach effective problem solving and reduce family stress.</p><br>
