<p><b>
Job Summary:
</b></p><p>The On-Call classroom substitute supports and supervises students in the event that one of the classroom team members is absent.
</p><p><b>Job Responsibilities:</b></p>
<div>
<ul><li>Perform classroom staff member duties in their absence.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Follow direction of the teacher/acting teacher including following lesson plans to create a cohesive and consistent learning experience for students.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Manage the classroom effectively to encourage student participation, minimize distractions and maintain a positive learning environment.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of each student.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Supervise students in and out of the classroom including in the halls, on the playground, cafeteria and car line.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Implement individual behavior plans as needed.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure and provide basic care giving duties (utilizing universal health and safety precautions) for children, including, but not limited to feeding children, and cleaning children&rsquo;s hands, faces, etc.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Assist in communication with therapists and members of the multi-disciplinary team.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Maintain positive staff and parent interactions.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Ensure compliance with requirements and guidelines set forth by UCP, HIPAA, NAEYC, Department of Education, 4C, Department of Children and Families, and other State and Federal agencies.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Qualifications</div></div><div><div>
<div><p><b>Education and Training:
</b></p><ul><li>Minimum &ndash; G.E.D or High School</li>
<li>If subbing for PreK - 45 Hour Department of Children and Family Training within first 90 days.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Minimum Experience:</b></p>
<ul><li>1 year or more childcare or classroom experience</li>
<li>Prefer experience working with students with and without disabilities.</li></ul></div></div></div></div>
