Senior Laboratory Assistant

<div><p>The Senior Laboratory Technician supports lighting performance testing in the UL Solutions Brea Lab, working onsite Monday through Friday. The role includes setting up and operating test equipment, interpreting technical drawings, performing tests, documenting data, and evaluating results with minimal supervision. The technician troubleshoots setups, recommends improvements, maintains equipment, and collaborates with engineers and clients during testing. </li><li>Operates with minimal supervision within defined limits of responsibility.
</li><li>Records observed or calculated data on appropriate UL forms and prepares data sheets and test reports.
</li><li>Communicates with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for new equipment, processes, and forms to improve accuracy and efficiencies.

<br><div><ul><li>Associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field with at least 1 year of hands-on experience in wireless device testing or Interoperability/IoT lab environments.

</li><li>Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and the ability to be innovative and creative.
</li><li><p>Desire to work in a team-oriented environment. Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must. Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing.<br>

</p><p><b>Total Rewards: </b>We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).</p></li></ul></div><p></p>
