 A leading distribution company located near Downtown, Houston, TX is seeking a highly knowledgeable and detail-oriented Leave of Absence HR Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent direct hire opportunity with competitive compensation and benefits and a great work culture! Starting compensation $70,000 - $78,000 depending on experience.
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Minimum 1-3 years of experience managing FMLA and LOA programs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
 </li>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of programs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and organizational skills.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Own and manage the FMLA and LOA programs end-to-end across all three companies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with federal and state leave laws (Florida and Ohio).
 </li>
 <li>
 Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave policies and procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain accurate leave records and documentation in
 
 Paylocity HRIS
 
 .
 </li>
 <li>
 Generate reports and analyze leave data using
 
 Excel
 
 (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to improve leave processes and communication.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide secondary support to the onboarding process as needed.
 </li>
