Essential Job Functions:<br>
The Radiology &amp; Laboratory Technician must demonstrate acceptable radiographic skills, laboratory and phlebotomy skills, and the judgment and ability to work independently, along with being assigned senior/management responsibilities as they apply to equipment/supply maintenance and inventory, billing and meeting accreditation standards. Under the Director and Clinic Administrator, the Technician assists in patient care and obtains diagnostic images of the patient, performs waived and moderate complexity biological and chemical analyses on patient specimens and performs phlebotomy procedures. The position involves carefully giving the patient proper instruction, reassurance, and respect. The Technician taking direction from the medical provider regarding which area of the patient&rsquo;s body requires imaging, explaining the procedure and answering questions regarding the procedure, positioning and adjusting patients and equipment, following best practices such as patient shielding, obtaining diagnostic images of the patient, and making any required documentation in the patient&rsquo;s medical record. The Technician is also responsible for maintaining radiology supplies and/or inventory and keeping a safe and clean working environment.<br>
<br>
Education and Experience Requirements:<br>
<ul><li>High School diploma.</li><li>Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology from a CAHEA approved program required.</li><li>Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science or medical laboratory technology.</li><li>Must be AART/TMB certified, MT (ASCP), MLT (ASCP), PBT (ASCP) or equivalent.</li><li>One year of experience as a Lab Technician/Radiology Technician is desired.</li><li>Venipuncture experience is preferred.</li><li>Experience in a clinic setting is preferred.</li></ul><br>
Skills and Abilities:<br>

Work is of medium demand. Standing, walking most of the time on duty. Lifting and pushing patients, carts, and wheelchairs. Adequate hand/eye coordination and find motor skills required. Good tactile sensation is necessary for checking patients. Talking and hearing is essential in instructing the supervising nursing personnel and in receiving doctors&rsquo; orders and patient&rsquo;s condition reports. Near visual acuity for accurate recording of patients&rsquo; charts.<br>

Environmental Conditions:<br>
Works in a well-lit, heated, and ventilated building. Hours may vary to accommodate needs in the department. Exposure of blood borne pathogens is of high risk. Requires exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids. All electrical safety precautions must be used when running the instrument.<br>

Unit Description<br>

3 East is a 35 bed Medical Surgical floor with an emphasis on the adult surgical patient. Six patient rooms are dedicated bariatric rooms for our accredited bariatric program! Patients are primarily received from the Emergency Center, Trauma &amp; Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Burn Intensive Care Unit, and Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Nurses provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for general surgery, urology, trauma, burn, and bariatric services. 3 East delivers multidisciplinary care on a dynamic, exciting, and fast-paced floor with a team dedicated to providing care for patients as if they were their own family member.<br>

Certified Nurse Assistant/Nurse Assistant-3East (Full Time 7p-7a-three 12 hour shifts a week requirement)

Unit Description<br>
The Medical ICCU is a state of the art 29-bed intermediate critical care inpatient unit that prides itself in providing patient centered family care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations. The mission of this unit will be to provide the utmost quality of care to patients that require a higher level of care but do not fit the care needs that an intensive care setting provides. Highlighting a care model that places focus on nurses delivering exceptional care and emphasizes a Primary Care Nursing model with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3-4. Nurses serving in this unit care for a diverse patient population including but not limited to neurological, medical, advanced pulmonary requiring CPAP, BiPAP, AVAPS, high-flow oxygen, or mechanical ventilation via tracheostomy, surgical, trauma, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, metabolic, continuous intermediate cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, and patients requiring nursing interventions every 2 hours for (neuro checks, complex wound care, glucose monitoring, blood pressure, etc..); vital signs hourly for up to 4 hours. A multi-disciplinary approach to nursing care is utilized on the ICCU.<br>
