<div>The Senior Outside Plant Engineer (OSP) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and overall quality of Outside Plant (OSP) engineering designs produced by both internal teams and external engineering partners as well as individual designs. This role plays a critical part in maintaining customer satisfaction by verifying that all engineering work orders comply with customer specifications, company standards, and industry best practices. The Senior OSP Engineer will also support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying quality trends and providing regular feedback to engineering leadership.
Requirements:
Job Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Complete outside plant designs that include fielding, designing and drafting.</li>
<li>Review individual OSP engineering work orders and provide detailed QC markups in accordance with customer requirements, company standards, and industry regulations.</li>
<li>Complete QC checklists for each engineering work order and return findings to the responsible design engineer in a clear and constructive manner.</li>
<li>Track recurring quality issues, identify trends, and collaborate with the Engineering Manager to recommend corrective actions or training opportunities.</li>
<li>Maintain documentation of QC results and ensure accurate recordkeeping for audit and reporting purposes.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal teams and external engineering partners to resolve quality discrepancies and support continuous process improvement.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor of Science in Engineering (preferred) or equivalent technical experience.</li>
</ul>
Position Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering.</li>
<li>Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of OSP Engineering, including:</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, errors, and deviations from standards.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, manage multiple work orders, and meet project deadlines.</li>
<li>Proficiency with OSP engineering tools, drafting software, and documentation systems (preferred but not required).</li>
<li>Valid driver's license.</li></ul></div>

Senior Outside Plant Engineer

<div>The Engineering Manager leads an OSP design work group to complete the design of complex OSPE projects. This requires a broad knowledge of outside plant design practices and standards for aerial, buried and underground for both copper and fiber facilities. Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills are also a must for this position. Also required is familiarity with PC and software to include CAD and Microsoft Office software.
Requirements:
<ul><li>Oversee the design of Outside Plant Fiber to the Home (FTTH), FTTC, FTTx, to a fully constructible job package and maintain the highest standard of deliverables quality.</li>
<li>Manage the production of efficient designs for new developments, network construction, and network upgrades.</li>
<li>Meet or exceed client delivery schedules.</li>
<li>Establish positive relationships with local customer representatives and third parties and ensure efficient processes are in place.</li>
<li>Support finance metric development, reporting and dashboard reporting.</li>
<li>Performs billing forecasting, business profitability, and billing initiatives.</li>
<li>Oversees quality of fielding and drafting.</li>
<li>Responsible for accurate permit submission and tracking to issue, receive, and account for project permits.</li>
<li>Ability to effectively lead and provide managerial insight and direction to a technically oriented workforce dealing with large volumes of projects driven by dynamic customer needs.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience</li>
<li>Minimum seven years of technical and management related work experience in the telecommunications industry with an emphasis on transmission methods, OSP, optical networks, project management, and direct customer interface

Position Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Experience directly managing a team</li>
<li>Program management experience</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English language is required</li>
<li>Experience with the design methodology, software tools and processes for one or more ILECs (e.g. Verizon, AT&amp;T, Frontier, etc.)</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to employ good troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills under pressure</li></ul></li></ul></div>
