Transportation Dispatcher (1st &amp; 2nd Shift Available)Berryman Transfer is hiring Transportation Dispatchers to join our growing operations team. This role is responsible for coordinating drivers, monitoring routes, communicating with customers, and ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time.We are currently hiring multiple dispatchers for both first shift and second shift schedules. If you have experience in transportation dispatching, logistics coordination, or fleet operations, we encourage you to apply.Dispatchers play a critical role in supporting drivers, resolving real-time issues, and maintaining efficient transportation operations.Available SchedulesSecond Shift Dispatcher <ul><li>Tuesday &ndash; Saturday</li><li>Sunday &ndash; Thursday</li></ul>First Shift Dispatcher <ul><li>Tuesday &ndash; Saturday</li></ul>Weekend availability is required for all schedules.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Dispatch drivers and coordinate transportation schedules based on customer needs and operational priorities</li><li>Monitor routes, traffic conditions, and service schedules to ensure on-time performance</li><li>Communicate with drivers regarding load assignments, delays, route changes, or operational issues</li><li>Track driver logs and Hours of Service (HOS) to ensure DOT compliance</li><li>Respond to customer inquiries regarding deliveries, pickups, or scheduling updates</li><li>Maintain accurate dispatch records and update transportation management systems</li><li>Work closely with drivers, warehouse teams, and operations staff to maintain efficient logistics operations</li><li>Troubleshoot issues such as delays, breakdowns, or scheduling conflicts in real time</li><li>Prepare shift reports and communicate operational updates to management</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required</li><li>2+ years of transportation dispatching, logistics, or fleet coordination experience preferred</li><li>Strong communication and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to multitask in a fast-paced transportation environment</li><li>Experience using dispatch software or fleet management systems (TMW, Samsara, Fleetmatics, etc.)</li><li>Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service rules is a plus</li><li>Ability to work scheduled shift including weekends or holidays when needed</li></ul>Work Environment<ul><li>Office-based dispatch operations center</li><li>Fast-paced logistics environment requiring strong attention to detail</li><li>Frequent communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams.</li></ul>Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have more than 2 years of Dispatching in a transportation setting?</li></ul>Work Location: In person
