Job Title: Sr. NPI Buyer 
 Department: Procurement

Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Job Overview: The Sr. NPI (New Product Introduction) Buyer plays a key role in supporting new product development and launch activities by sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials required for engineering builds and pilot runs. This role acts as a vital link between Engineering, R&amp;D, Manufacturing, and suppliers&mdash;ensuring materials are procured on time, within budget, and meet required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sourcing &amp; Procurement<ul><li>
Identify and qualify suppliers for new product components.</li><li>
Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and evaluate proposals.</li><li>
Create and manage purchase orders to support NPI builds and pilot runs.</li></ul>
2. Supplier Management<ul><li>
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.</li><li>
Monitor supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost.</li><li>
Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier-related issues.</li></ul>
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration<ul><li>
Partner with Engineering, R&amp;D, and Manufacturing to understand material requirements.</li><li>
Ensure timely availability of materials to support early builds and production ramp-up.</li><li>
Support smooth handoff from development to production teams.</li></ul>
4. Negotiation &amp; Cost Management<ul><li>
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to ensure cost-effectiveness.</li><li>
Collaborate with finance and planning teams to align procurement budgets.</li></ul>
5. Issue Resolution &amp; Risk Management<ul><li>
Address supplier-related problems such as delays, quality defects, or invoice discrepancies.</li><li>
Develop and implement corrective and recovery plans as needed.</li></ul>
6. Data &amp; Documentation Management<ul><li>
Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier data in ERP systems.</li><li>
Track lead times, costs, and supplier performance metrics.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or electronics environment.</li><li>
Minimum 7 years of material planning experience within a PCBA manufacturing environment</li><li>
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.</li><li>
Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.</li><li>
Ability to work effectively within cross-functional project teams.</li><li>
Familiarity with NPI processes, RFQs, and product development timelines.</li><li>
Knowledge of supply chain logistics, production scheduling, and inventory control.</li><li>

Job Overview: The Senior Planner plans, schedules, and coordinates the efficient movement of material through the production cycle, creates and manages work orders and is responsible for materials data input and integrity to effectively manage delivery and inventory costs. Reports to Planning Manager. Located at the Unigen Headquarters in Newark, CA.
 Job Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li>
Manage Project Material Requirements Planning (MRP).</li><li>
Load and create all demand into ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)</li><li>
Align (and prioritize and allocate material to meet actual demand (customer build plan/forecast (FCST), Sales Order (SO) and Plan Order)</li><li>
Manage Project Master Production Scheduling (MPS) from Demand to Ship. Maintain and plan work orders accordingly to meet OTD objectives.</li><li>
Perform material What-if-Analysis (WIA) for demand loading.</li><li>
Coordinate the efficient movement of material through the production cycle.</li><li>
Determine progress of work against the production schedule.</li><li>
Provide information to Program Manager (PM), Supply Chain Management (SCM) &amp; Buyer for constraint materials and/or manufacturing issues if any.</li><li>
Coordinate &amp; resolve material issues for work order (WO), Rework WO, pilot build, or qualification build. Maintain WO and SO aging to ensure proper MRP notifications.</li><li>
Analyze and communicate demand schedule, material data &amp; inventory status.</li><li>
Monitor inventory levels to ensure they align with Unigen&rsquo;s inventory turns goals.</li><li>
Work to obtain cost reductions through optimizing production through a constant production flow, resource utilization as well as inventory utilization.</li></ul>
 Other tasks and responsibilities related to Purchasing and Warehouse/Logistics function as assigned.
 Job Requirements and Qualifications:<ul><li>
BS/BA degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering field.</li><li>
Minimum 7 years of work experience in material planning and production scheduling in fast pace working environment like Contract Manufacturing (CM) or Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry.</li><li>
Be able to work and coordinate with different departments and functional teams to achieve the customer&rsquo;s required date.</li><li>
Have in-depth understanding of how backend operation works from sourcing, purchasing, tracking PO, receiving, IQC, warehousing, kitting, SMT, and system integration to close the cycle of work order completion.</li><li>
Be able to plan and schedule based on materials availability and work with MPS to schedule work order.</li></ul></div>

Job Function: Quality Assurance Engineering
Job Summary: The Quality Engineer develops, implements, and maintains plans, and methods for controlling the quality of products before, during and after manufacturing and is responsible for inspecting and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, equipment, and finished products. Reports to Senior Manager of QE and QA located in Newark, CA.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Customer Requirement &amp; MPI Approval<ul><li>
Review Customer requirement and company Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI) to ensure all customer requirements are accurately reflected.</li><li>
Determine, create quality-critical inspections for First Article and Quality Inspection process.</li><li>
Conduct risk assessments and determine actions for MPI or Quality Alerts.</li></ul>
2. Process Quality Control &amp; Defect Prevention<ul><li>
Plan and conduct process audit, review to ensure for accuracy (Man, Method, Machine, Material).</li><li>
Lead root cause analysis (RCCA) for process defects and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams.</li><li>
Review and close out line-stop events due to material, skill, method, machine, or unresolved CAPA issues.</li><li>
Stop the line if major quality risks are identified for improvement.</li><li>
Provide technical support for quality-related issues in production and inspection.</li></ul>
3. Customer Support &amp; Communication<ul><li>
Act as a customer representative for quality matters: handle quality reports, customer complaints, CAPA, audits/visits, and meetings.</li><li>
Prepare and submit FAIR, CofC, and other customer-required documentation.</li><li>
Ensure timely and effective communication and support to customers.</li></ul>
4. Quality Data Analysis, Reporting and Improvement<ul><li>
Analyze quality data (defects, yield, RCCA, etc.) and prepare internal and customer-facing reports.</li></ul><ul><li>
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for process yield, defect reduction, and compliance.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with ESD, regulatory, and customer-specific requirements.</li><li>
Participate in and support internal and external audits.</li><li>
Develop and implement the Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Measurement System Statistical Analysis (MSA) or other methodologies to monitor, improve and sustain the quality.</li></ul>
5. Supplier Quality Engineering<ul><li>
Qualify new suppliers and conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with Unigen and customer requirements.</li><li>
Review and approve supplier PPAP, FAI, and other qualification documentation.</li><li>
Monitor supplier performance (incoming quality, delivery, responsiveness) and drive improvement initiatives.</li><li>
Manage supplier non-conformances: issue SCARs, lead root cause analysis, and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.</li><li>
Collaborate with Purchasing and Engineering to resolve supplier-related issues and support new product introduction (NPI).</li><li>
Maintain Approved Supplier List (ASL) and ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and customer standards.</li></ul>
6. Other duties and responsibilities related to Quality Engineering function, when assigned.
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Minimum BS Degree in Engineering, Electronics, or equivalent experience</li><li>
Minimum 2 years of related experience in Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance, Quality Control in electronics/PCBA manufacturing.</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of quality systems (e.g.: ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.), FMEA, RCCA, 8D Report and process control.</li><li>
Experience with customer audits, CAPA, and quality reporting.</li><li>
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li><li>
Ability to work cross-functionally and drive results in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul></div>
