Job PurposeTo carry out heat treatment operations on steel castings as per specified procedures and standards, ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency.Roles and Responsibilities<ul><li>Operate and monitor heat treatment furnaces (annealing, normalizing, quenching, tempering, etc.).</li><li>Follow heat treatment cycles as per process sheets, specifications, and customer requirements.</li><li>Load and unload castings into/from furnaces safely, using proper handling equipment.</li><li>Record furnace parameters (temperature, time, cooling rate) accurately in log sheets.</li><li>Ensure proper use of quenching media (water, oil, polymer) and maintain their condition.</li><li>Conduct hardness checks and basic inspection to confirm heat treatment results.</li><li>Report any equipment malfunctions, deviations, or abnormalities to the supervisor.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area, adhering to foundry safety protocols.</li><li>Assist in routine maintenance and calibration of heat treatment equipment.</li><li>Support continuous improvement initiatives in the heat treatment section.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Skills<ul><li>ITI/Diploma in Metallurgy/Mechanical or equivalent preferred.</li><li>Prior experience in a foundry or heat treatment shop is an advantage.</li><li>Basic knowledge of steel grades and heat treatment processes.</li><li>Ability to read and follow work instructions and process sheets.</li><li>Awareness of safety practices while handling hot parts and quenching operations.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;23,000.00 - &#8377;27,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person

Heat Treatment Operator

Job PurposeTo set up, operate, and monitor Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC) to produce precision machined components as per drawings, process sheets, and quality standards, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to production schedules.Roles &amp; ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation<ul><li>Operate and monitor HMC machines for machining steel castings and other components.</li><li>Load/unload workpieces and ensure correct fixturing and clamping.</li><li>Follow approved process sheets, CNC programs, and tooling instructions.</li></ul>Quality &amp; Inspection<ul><li>Perform in-process inspections using gauges, micrometers, vernier calipers, and CMM (if applicable).</li><li>Ensure parts meet dimensional and surface finish requirements as per drawings.</li><li>Identify, report, and correct machining errors or deviations.</li></ul>Maintenance &amp; Safety<ul><li>Perform daily machine checks (coolant, oil, air pressure, cleanliness).</li><li>Replace and maintain cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures as required.</li><li>Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE during machine operation.</li></ul>Documentation &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Record production data, inspection results, and downtime in the prescribed formats.</li><li>Escalate issues related to machine breakdowns, tooling, or quality to the supervisor.</li><li>Maintain 5S in the machine area.</li></ul>Desired Background<ul><li>ITI/Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent.</li><li>2&ndash;5 years of experience operating HMC machines in a machine shop environment.</li><li>Knowledge of CNC programming basics (Fanuc / Siemens controls preferred).</li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&amp;T.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;26,000.00 - &#8377;30,000.00 per monthWork Location: In person
