The PACS Administrator is a critical role supporting Imaging Services and system-wide imaging technology.
You would ensure the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of PACS/RIS systems, imaging workflows, and integrations across the health system.
This role reports to the Director of Imaging Services.

<ul><li>Advanced PACS/RIS system administration and troubleshooting</li><li>Imaging workflow optimization and system integration</li><li>Cross-functional collaboration with IT, Clinical Informatics, and Radiology teams</li><li>Project management for imaging system implementations and upgrades</li><li>Vendor management and system performance optimization</li></ul>

<ul><li>Supports high-performing Imaging Services operations across multiple facilities</li><li>Contributes to system uptime, efficiency, and quality patient imaging outcomes</li><li>Plays a key role in maintaining timely image access and radiologist workflow efficiency</li></ul>
(Unit / Dept.) Training &amp; Onboarding Culture
<ul><li>Collaborative onboarding with Imaging Services, IT, and Clinical Informatics</li><li>Hands-on training with PACS/RIS systems, workflows, and imaging modalities</li><li>Ongoing education and support for system updates, integrations, and best practices</li></ul>
 
Essential Job Duties:
<ul><li>Manage and maintain PACS, RIS, and supporting imaging systems</li><li>Lead and coordinate imaging system projects, upgrades, and implementations</li><li>Troubleshoot system issues and ensure maximum uptime and performance</li><li>Coordinate system downtime procedures and recovery efforts</li><li>Serve as liaison between Imaging Services, IT, vendors, and clinical departments</li><li>Support image transmission, archiving, routing, and system integrity</li><li>Ensure accurate image availability and timely radiology workflow support</li><li>Maintain system documentation, workflows, and training materials</li><li>Provide technical support, training, and guidance to staff</li><li>Assist with compliance, reporting, and system performance monitoring</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<div>Required: 
&middot; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in related healthcare IT or Information Systems discipline 
<ul><li>2-5 year of PACS/RIS or other imaging and integration support experience</li><li>Basic knowledge of DICOM standard and DICOM communication</li><li>Excellent planning/organizational skills</li><li>Excellent communication and follow-up</li><li>Critical thinking skills</li><li>Capable and willing to continuously and rapidly self-learn new technology</li><li>Must have ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously</li><li>Ability to work on tight deadlines</li><li>Experience using computers for a variety of tasks</li></ul></div>
<div>Preferred: 
&middot; Project management 
<ul><li>Radiology/Imaging experience and working knowledge of Imaging modalities and workflows</li><li>Server/networking knowledge/experience</li><li>HL7 basic knowledge</li></ul></div>
Licenses / Certifications:
<ul><li>Relevant certifications in healthcare IT, imaging informatics, or PACS systems preferred</li></ul>
