In a clerical role the Medical Office Assistant is the customer service liaison to each of our practices. The Medical Office Assistant greets each patient with courtesy and respect using exceptional communication skills. The purpose of this position is to provide our patients with a seamless experience while following all UHS Policies regarding registration, scheduling, insurance verification and billing. In a clinical role the medical assistant performs patient care tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse and/or nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized health care provider.<div></div><div>

This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.</div><div></div><div>

$17.19 - $24.42 per hour, depending on experience<div></div><div>

Education/Experience</div><div>
Minimum Required:</div><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>
Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or direct patient care experience, including but not limited to collection of patient information and data, patient interactions or assisting physicians with procedures in a medical office or hospital setting.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Preferred:</div><ul><li>
Previous experience in a walk in / primary care/ specialty care setting.</li><li>
Certified medical administrative assistant (CMAA)</li><li>
Strong clerical background with excellent computer skills</li></ul><div><br>
License/Certification</div><div>
Minimum Required:</div><ul><li>
Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.</li></ul><div></div><div>

Medical Office Assistant

Under general direction or assignment assists in planning, development, implementation, evaluation and maintenance of business solutions. Analyzes assigned tasks and develops solutions to meet the needs through use of business Intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems or methods, and procedures. Competent to work on all phases of development independently. Works cooperatively to determine problems that need solving, identifying needs and develops or recommends potential solutions. Capable of providing leadership and technical direction on large multi-entity corporate level projects.<div></div><div>

Education/Experience</div><div>
Minimum Required:</div><ul><li>
Master&rsquo;s Degree with two (2) years relevant experience or bachelor&rsquo;s degree with four (4) years relevant experience to include: Business Intelligence, or Systems Analyst experience, database code and management experience with Degree Concentration in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence or healthcare related field.</li><li>
Three (3) year of Project Management Experience.</li><li>
Excellence in using query languages such as SQL.</li><li>
Good scripting and programming skills.</li><li>
Proficiency in data visualization tools.</li><li>
Excellent understanding of RDMS.</li></ul><div></div><div>
Preferred:</div><ul><li>
Master&rsquo;s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Business Intelligence or healthcare related field.</li><li>
Three (3) years of Reports, Metrics and Dashboard creation.</li><li>
Clinical or Financial Systems Organizational Experience.</li><li>
Two (2) years Epic Experience.</li><li>
Experience in SSIS Integration Services.</li><li>
Experience in SSRS Reporting Services.</li></ul><div><br>
License/Certification</div><div>
Minimum Required:</div><ul><li>
Must be willing to travel for training and achieve certification within ninety (90) days of completion of training at Epic in application as assigned.</li></ul><div></div><div>
