Main Duties of a Security Flex Officer:</b></h3><ul><li><b>
Fill in for other officers</b>:</li><li><ul><li>
Cover shifts when regular officers are sick, on vacation, or otherwise unavailable.</li><li>
Often called on short notice to fill gaps in coverage.</li></ul></li><li><b>
Work at multiple sites</b>:</li><li><ul><li>
Trained to work at various client locations &mdash; such as office buildings, warehouses, hotels etc.</li><li>
Must be able to adapt quickly to different environments, procedures, and site-specific rules.</li></ul></li><li><b>
Patrol and monitor premises</b>:</li><li><ul><li>
Conduct foot or golf cart patrols.</li><li>
Monitor surveillance systems.</li><li>
Check for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or security breaches.</li></ul></li><li><b>
Control access</b>:</li><li><ul><li>
Verify credentials.</li><li>
Enforce building entry/exit procedures.</li><li>
Lock/unlock doors at specified times.</li></ul></li><li><b>
Incident response</b>:</li><li><ul><li>
Respond to alarms, emergencies, or incidents (such as fights, fires, or medical events).</li><li>
Write detailed reports and notify law enforcement or emergency services when needed.</li></ul></li><li><b>
Customer service</b>:</li><li><ul><li>
Assist visitors, employees, and tenants with directions, questions, or concerns.</li><li>
Represent the client or security company in a professional way.</li></ul></li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Special Traits Needed:</b></h3><ul><li><b>
Flexibility</b> with scheduling and assignments.</li><li><b>
Strong communication skills</b>.</li><li><b>
Quick learner</b>, since each site may have different procedures.</li><li>
