</div>As a Field Diesel Mechanic &ndash; Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - Field Service - CES), you&rsquo;ll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs of complex equipment on customer owned equipment with limited or no supervision in a highly skilled, safe, and professional manner. What you'll do:
<ul><li>Safe maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment
</li><li>Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
</li><li>Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers
</li><li>Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
</li><li>Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment &amp; parts
</li><li>Other duties assigned as needed
</li></ul>Requirements:
<ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent
</li><li>Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
</li><li>3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
</li><li>Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
</li><li>Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
</li><li>Must own tools applicable to position
</li><li>Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
</li><li>Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Field Diesel Mechanic - CES

Diesel Mechanic

As an Area Dispatcher, you will be tasked with organizing the daily dispatch of drivers for a metro area in a safe and timely manner. You will work closely with Operations Managers and Inside Sales Reps to ensure deliveries are properly scheduled and executed to guarantee superior customer service. Without you, our customers cannot meet their operational needs, and that's why we seek a professional with integrity who respects and understand the demands of the job.
What you'll do:<div><ul><li>
Oversee dispatch of drivers within the metro-area to maximize efficiency and customer delivery responsiveness</li><li>
Monitor driver progress and adjust schedules as pick-up and delivery orders come in</li><li>
Maximize truck loads outbound and inbound</li><li>
Optimize use of overtime and outside haulers to deliver superior customer service</li><li>
As needed, support branches in maintaining customer relations via phone, making additions, cancellations, and changes regarding equipment location or delivery time</li><li>
Demonstrate commitment to safety and discipline through exemplary personal compliance, accountability and pro-active communication</li><li>
Perform all safety inspections within company and governmental policies</li><li>

Area Dispatcher

As an Outside Sales Rep within the Power/HVAC division at United Rentals, you will be the voice and initial point of contact for our industry leading company. You will use your sales skills to rent and sell specialty engineered power supply and climate control solutions, such as silenced diesel generators and air-conditioning equipment. We'll rely on you to use your exceptional sales and consultative skills to understand the needs of interested parties and turn them into loyal customers. You must be ambitious and outgoing, with a love for calling on customers, building relationships and selling our equipment and services.
What you'll do:<ul><li>
Increase revenue for the branch through quality customer service and a strong understanding of specialty engineered rental products to include silenced diesel generators, air-cooled chillers, air-conditioning, electric heat, desiccant dehumidification, load banks and electrical distribution</li><li>
Establish new rental accounts through phone calls and in-person visits to potential customers</li><li>
Present a full range of turnkey services to potential customers</li><li>
Work with technical staff to provide customers with job site assessments, application solutions and plans, equipment sizing, professional quote writing, credit authorization assistance, problem resolution, and follow-through</li><li>
Provide existing accounts with information on other products and services offered by United Rentals including other specialty product lines</li><li>
Give formal sales presentations to customers</li><li>
Educate customers on equipment through demonstrations and personal training sessions</li><li>
Assist the operations staff by following up with customers on invoices and payments</li><li>
Report sales activity on new accounts, revenue, utilization, calls, etc., using salesforce.com and other tools</li><li>

Requirements:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience</li><li>
3 years of sales experience</li><li>
Knowledge of construction or related equipment is preferred; however, candidates with comparable industry experience, a strong sales acumen and record of achievement will be considered</li><li>
High intellectual abilities to sell complex products and customer solutions</li><li>
Equipment troubleshooting skills and diagnostic skills</li><li>
Ability to properly size, quote, install and maintain small less complex, and moderately complex projects; that may range from industrial process cooling, construction and water damage drying, multi-level power distribution at various voltages and large scale climate control projects</li><li>
More experienced sales representatives may be assigned larger and/or more complex projects and equipment solutions</li><li>
Possess strong negotiation and selling skills, and excellent customer service skills</li><li>
Strong presentation and excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)</li><li>
Possess knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems</li><li>
Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Ability to work independently</li><li>
Proficiency with computer skills and MS Office (especially Word and Excel)</li><li>
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record</li></ul>
This role includes a base salary and monthly commissions based on performance.
A minimum monthly guarantee incentive is provided during the onboarding and learning process.
