Position Overview</b></div><div>
The Dispatcher is responsible for maintaining customer service and scale operations of the Transportation Department. This individual will report to the Transportation Manager. The Dispatcher also supervises and leads the Drivers.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Summary of Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>
Executes customer service requests and routes other calls accordingly</li><li>
Effectively handles all customer requests and complaints and reports them to the Transportation Manager</li><li>
Follows up on outstanding issues with the customers, the Sales Team and the Transportation Manager</li><li>
Weighs all material entering and leaving the facility</li><li>
Manages scale operations</li><li>
Answers all inbound calls</li><li>
Processes all daily dispatch paperwork</li><li>
Performs all scale operations &ndash; inbound and outbound</li><li>
Creates receivers and shippers in the data base and generates paperwork</li><li>
Closes out daily dispatch paperwork</li><li>
Maintains and files all driver logs and reports</li><li>
Tests and maintains the radiation detection system and log book</li><li>
Facilitates internal communication with his Manager and peers</li></ul><ul><li>
Must demonstrate competency in all aspects of the job and company objectives</li><li>
Demonstrates understanding of company policies, rules and trainings</li><li>

Desired Characteristics</b></div><ul><li>
Highs School or GED required; some collage or a college degree a plus</li><li>
2 years of direct customer service</li><li>
Organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>
Strong math and calculation skills a must</li><li>
Demonstrated professionalism</li><li>
Ability to work with others and work as part of a team</li><li>
Proficient with computer and data entry skills</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and accuracy a must</li><li>
Excellent English communication (read, write, speak); bilingual spoken Spanish a plus</li></ul><ul><li>
The Company desires a candidate who has shown a stable job history, dependable attendance practices and whose references can state is a trustworthy individual</li><li>
