About the job 
 
As a Sr. Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing large datasets, uncovering insights, and driving data-driven decision-making within our organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects. You will have the opportunity to unleash your data wizardry and embark on a thrilling data expedition with us. In this role, you&rsquo;ll be at the forefront of innovation, transforming raw data into strategic gems that guide our company&rsquo;s success. 
 
What you&rsquo;ll do 
 
<ul><li>Analyze raw data: assessing quality, cleansing, structuring for downstream processing</li>
<li>Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production</li>
<li>Generate actionable insights for business improvements, manipulating data and drawing insights from large data sets</li>
<li>Create and use advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics, such as regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.</li>
<li>Create data architectures</li>
<li>Visualize and present data to stakeholders</li>
</ul>Education &amp; Experience 
 
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field, such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.</li>
<li>A minimum of one (1) year of hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, or statistical modeling.</li>
<li>Demonstrated expertise gained through relevant internships, coursework, and personal projects that highlight your skills and a strong dedication to the field of data science.</li>
<li>Fundamental knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, with an emphasis on their use for scalable data analysis.</li>
<li>Minimum 7 years of experience.</li>
</ul>Required Skills / Certifications 
 
<ul><li>Competency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, along with experience working with databases to retrieve and store data.</li>
<li>Strong data analysis skills, including data cleaning, exploration and visualization.</li>
<li>A foundation in machine learning with experience in building and deploying machine learning models.</li>
<li>The ability to approach complex data problems, devise solutions, and successfully implement them within project deadlines and objectives.</li>
<li>A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques</li>
<li>Deep understanding of predictive modeling, machine-learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms</li>
<li>Fluency in programming languages (Python, C,C++, Java, SQL)</li>
<li>Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and visualization tools (Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark, Tableau)</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams</li>
<li>Awareness of ethical considerations in data science, including privacy, bias, and fairness in algorithms.</li>
</ul>Preferred Skills / Certifications 
 
<ul><li>Master&rsquo;s degree in Data Science or closely related field</li>
<li>Recognized certifications in the field of Data Science</li>
</ul>Security clearance 
 
<ul><li>You must be able to obtain a security clearance (Secret or higher) &ndash; US Citizenship required</li></ul>
COMPENSATION 
 
$150,000-$200,000 per year based on skills, experience
