<div>U. S. Steel has an immediate opening for a Process Manager &ndash; Maintenance Services. This position will use electrical and mechanical knowledge, predictive and preventative maintenance procedures that will support a time-based maintenance system to maximize efficiency of the plant equipment. The position will report to the Area Manager and supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment to manufacture pipe. 
Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Reasonable electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting</li>
<li>Reduce unit downtime, improve performance of facility and advance preventative maintenance</li>
<li>Assist workers in diagnosing malfunction in machinery and equipment</li>
<li>Requisition parts, services, and supplies as required</li>
<li>Maintain the spare parts system</li>
<li>Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations</li>
<li>Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties accordingly</li>
<li>Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product</li>
<li>Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew</li>
<li>Initiative or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals</li>
<li>Maintain a professional relationship with employees in the area ensuing that safety, environmental, and production aspects will not be compromised</li>
<li>Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments</li>
<li>Manage activities to stay within the forecasted budget</li>
<li>Maintain payroll, spending, maintenance, and other pertinent records</li>
<li>Manage activities to meet departmental requirements and coordinate efforts with other areas/departments</li>
</ul>Requirements:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology, Operations Management or Management required</li>
<li>Experience managing in a manufacturing/production environment preferred</li>
<li>Strong background in maintenance and computer skills required</li>
<li>Experience working with bargaining unit / wage employees is desirable</li></ul></div>

Process Manager - Non-Destructive Testing

<div>The Management Associate program is our entry level program for college graduates to help accelerate their professional development. Management Associates are provided between 12-24 months of training across multiple functional areas with work assignments designed to assist in both personal and skill-set development. The role may include rotational assignment(s) within the department. This program is designed to strengthen leadership capabilities to prepare the college graduate for advanced roles within our operations or in several disciplines that support our operations. U. S. Steel has an opening for a Management Associate &ndash; Operations in one of our Steel Manufacturing facilities. Training consists of classroom and &quot;hands on&quot; work experiences in areas such as Safety, Quality, Communication, Leadership, Teamwork, and Problem Solving. Specific process and equipment training will also be provided. Our facilities operate 24/7, 365 days a year. Position requires rotating work schedules, weekends and/or holidays work. 
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:<ul><li>
Apply engineering and/or business principles and problem-solving techniques in a manufacturing environment to insure maximum operating efficiency while handling the pressure of managing a production crew.</li><li>
Supervise, direct, and coordinate the efforts of experienced technicians to keep the production operations running at maximum efficiency with minimum interruption</li><li>
Consult with other production and maintenance managers, plant engineers, staff professionals, and outside equipment manufacturers</li><li>
Select, train, and supervise employees.</li><li>
Due to the nature of our business, some facilities operate 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year so the Management Associate position may require rotating schedules, weekend and/or holiday work.</li></ul>
Candidate Requirements:<ul><li>
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering</li><li>
Must have graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university at the time of hire</li><li>
Must have less than three years of professional work experience</li><li>
Must have an interest in a &quot;hands on&quot; assignment in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>
Must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.</li></ul>
