<div>About the Role:

As a Clinical Technologist, you'll be a critical member of our team, supporting patient flow and engaging in various clinical support tasks. After completing your initial training (4-6 weeks), you'll perform all job responsibilities independently with confidence. This entry-level role is ideal for MAs and PCTs looking to expand their skills and take on new challenges in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Patient Care Support: Assist with patient rooming, verification, and vitals documentation. Use eCW to update patient status and maintain smooth patient flow.</li>
<li>Procedure Support: Prepare exam rooms, support sterile and non-sterile procedures, assist in surgical procedures, and follow CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and cleanliness.</li>
<li>Documentation &amp; Inventory: Document patient information, complete consent forms, manage inventory, and keep exam rooms stocked.</li>
<li>Compliance &amp; Confidentiality: Uphold all HIPAA standards, follow UVVC's Core Values and Standards of Conduct, and maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Surgical Technician, or Scrub Technician in a patient care setting</li>
<li>Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred</li>
<li>Certification: BLS certification required within 60 days of hire (American Heart Association preferred)</li>
<li>Preferred completion of an accredited MA or Surgical Technologist program</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMR)</li>
<li>Dependable, punctual, and knowledgeable in medical terminology</li>

About the Role:

The Medical Receptionist (Patient Services Coordinator) is responsible for greeting patients upon arrival, signing them in for their appointment, obtaining insurance information, providing forms, processing payments, and scheduling appointments.

Key Responsibilities: 

<ul>
<li>Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.</li>
<li>Provide patients with intake and new patient forms, as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.</li>
<li>Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits.</li>
<li>Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provided schedule guidelines.</li>
<li>Maintain hard copy patient records as well as the files stored in our EMR system.</li>
<li>Audit schedule to ensure patient insurance eligibility.</li>
<li>Provide patients with support and guidance as needed.</li>
<li>Demonstrate and promote a work culture committed to UVVC's Core Values: Understanding, Nurturing, Ingenuity, Trust, Excellence, and Diversity.</li>
<li>Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with UVVC's Standards of Conduct as outlined in our Employee Handbook.</li>
<li>Maintain the confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with UVVC policies, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and other applicable laws and regulations. PHI is a top priority of our organization.</li>

Qualifications: 

<ul>
<li>High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred).</li>
<li>2+ years' experience in a medical setting in customer service.</li>
<li>Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish.</li>
<li>Familiarity with ECW a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks based on importance.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and problem solving skills, as well as interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software.</li></ul>
