Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Compensation &amp; Benefits Specialist to lead and enhance UniUni&rsquo;s total rewards programs across North America. This role will play a key part in designing competitive compensation structures, managing benefits programs, supporting executive decision-making through data analysis, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the U.S. and Canada.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of partnering with HR leadership and business stakeholders while also managing operational execution. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys building scalable processes in a fast-growing organization. 
Key Responsibilities
Compensation<ul><li>
Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of compensation structures, job grading frameworks, and salary bands across the U.S. and Canada.</li><li>
Conduct comprehensive market benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity.</li><li>
Lead key components of the annual compensation review cycle, including salary adjustments, promotions, bonus planning, and compensation planning support.</li><li>
Partner with HRBPs and leadership teams to provide strategic compensation recommendations based on market data and internal analytics.</li><li>
Develop compensation reports and dashboards to support workforce planning and leadership decision-making.</li><li>
Maintain and ensure accuracy of compensation data within HRIS and payroll systems.</li></ul> 
Benefits<ul><li>
Oversee administration and optimization of employee benefits programs across North America (medical, dental, vision, retirement, wellness programs, etc.).</li><li>
Manage relationships with benefits brokers, consultants, and vendors, including renewals, negotiations, and benefits program design improvements.</li><li>
Lead benefits communication strategies to improve employee understanding and engagement with total rewards programs.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations such as ACA, ERISA, and provincial employment standards.</li><li>
Provide expert guidance to employees and managers on benefits and total rewards programs.</li></ul> 
Compliance &amp; Reporting<ul><li>
Ensure compensation and benefits programs remain compliant with federal, state, and provincial regulations across the U.S. and Canada.</li><li>
Support internal audits, compensation reviews, and regulatory reporting requirements.</li><li>
Produce analytics and insights related to compensation trends, headcount cost, and total rewards effectiveness.</li></ul> 
Process Optimization &amp; HR Systems<ul><li>
Identify opportunities to improve and scale compensation and benefits processes as the organization grows.</li><li>
Partner with HR Operations to enhance HRIS functionality and data integrity.</li><li>
Contribute to the development of compensation and benefits policies, guidelines, and internal documentation.</li></ul> 
Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.</li><li>
5&ndash;8 years of experience in compensation, benefits, payroll, or total rewards roles.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of U.S. compensation and benefits regulations; familiarity with Canadian regulations is highly preferred.</li><li>
Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret compensation data and market benchmarks.</li><li>
Experience working with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Rippling, Workday, or similar platforms).</li><li>
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.</li><li>
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>
Experience in logistics, technology, or high-growth companies is preferred.</li></ul>
