The Transportation Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operational activity to meet Univar Solutions&rsquo; transportation customer service and financial targets effectively and efficiently. The role is to be the main site point of contact for Transportation execution and implementation of activities led by the District Transportation Manager (DTM) and other Transportation regional and department strategy initiatives.</div>

The role will act as a key site liaison to assist in implementing improvement projects, handling tactical carrier performance issues, and, most importantly, being accountable for providing a safe and efficient work environment and transportation operations within the Branch.</div><br>

WHAT YOU'LL DO:</b></div><br>

Private Fleet Operations</b></div><br>
<div></div>
<ul>
<li><div>Direct manager supervising drivers and ensures drivers are dispatched and return safely.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within the forecast budget.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Prepares driver work schedules including extra workdays, overtime, and shift hours as needed.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Monitors driver performance and ensures on-time service levels are met.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Reviews delivery functions and productivity KPI reports to supervise and takes action on ways to improve dispatch routing or increase truck utilization.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Ensures driver routes are optimized and driver workflow is efficient.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Assist with the hiring process for new drivers</div>
</li>
<li><div>Ability to investigate and respond to customer complaints.</div>
</li>
<li><div>May occasionally handle after-hour calls.</div></li></ul><br>

</div><div><b>Environmental, Health, and Safety &amp; Regulatory Compliance (DOT, Hour of Service, Training, Etc.)</b></div><br>
<div></div>
<ul>
<li><div>Interprets, trains, and consistently implements Company policies, protocols, and procedures including but not limited to food safety, DOT, EHS, internal audit, record keeping, etc.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Ensures Driver compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies (i.e., DOT, OSHA, etc.) and ensures that electronic logs are kept current and accurate.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Coordinates efforts with the Safety department to aid in training, conducting associate observations, updating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to identify root cause, and routine safety inspections.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Responsible for record keeping and driver credentials (HazMat, tanker endorsements, DOT physicals, Federal drug testing, etc.) are completed on time.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Will work with DTM and other personnel if and when a safety spill or release has occurred at the customer site, enroute to delivery, or on-site.</div></li></ul><br>

</div><div><b>Fleet Maintenance and Asset Management</b></div><br>

<li><div>Organizes required repairs with proper departments as necessary.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Responsible for licensing, registration, and preventative maintenance of the private fleet.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Ensures equipment inspections are completed on time.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Interacts with key maintenance vendors and Element to ensure quotes and work is completed effectively.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Is responsible for the proper selection utilization of company assets in support of the Transportation department.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Monitors maintenance and repair spending and communicates with DTM on areas of overspending or areas of improvement to keep cost spend within budget.</div></li></ul><br>

</div><div><b>Carrier Performance and Route Guide Compliance</b></div><br>
<div></div>
<ul>
<li><div>Resolves tactical issues with carriers to ensure on-time pickup and will collaborate with the District Transportation Planner of carrier enroute or delivery delays.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Provides feedback to the District Transportation Manager on carrier performance in preparation for QBRs.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Makes recommendations for improvement, specifically in areas of efficiency, cost reduction, and assists with the implementation of effective service delivery changes.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Visits customer locations and meets with customers to address issues and assess delivery difficulty as needed.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Successfully engages and leads individual and team discussions and meetings.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Applies all relevant policies in a consistent, timely, and objective manner.</div></li></ul><br>

</li>
<li><div>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred, not required.</div>
</li>
<li><div>5 plus years of supervisory leadership experience.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Knowledgeable in DOT, FMCSA, and Hours of Service regulations.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Experience managing and dispatching drivers.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Organizational and time management skills.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Basic understanding of Transportation Management software and SAP preferred.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications.</div>
</li>
<li><div>Knowledge of chemical distribution facility operation preferred.</div>
</li>
<li><div>May require HazMat certification, TWIC credentials.</div>
</li>

  Senior Accountant, Consolidations:

 </strong>
 The Senior Accountant &ndash; Consolidations is a key role and member within the Windsor Controlling group (Windsor refers to the direct parent entity that owns Univar Solutions and is the issuer of privately held corporate debt), being primarily focused on the discipline of Consolidations for the global enterprise.
 <br/>
 <br/>
 This role will administer foundational elements within the global consolidations financial close and internal reporting process including supporting global intercompany and affiliate management by timely identifying related imbalances or misclassifications and facilitating needed corrections and offering assistance to regional and local finance directors to reduce and eliminate intercompany out-of-balance amounts. This role will also regularly administer reviews of both entity level and consolidated financial statements, driving operating efficiencies and consistent practices, including the development and governance of financial reviews, reducing consolidation level correcting adjustments and supporting legal entity rationalization, and maintain effective internal controls. This role will also participate in the quarterly external consolidated financial reporting process, including the creation and review of financial statements and footnote disclosures, supporting cash management activities, journal entries and account reconciliation review and policy compliance. This role will continually be tasked with driving adherence to group standards and in finding efficiencies to reduce the total time needed to complete a close and minimize the amount of consolidation correcting entries, top sides, etc.

   Administer the monthly global consolidation process including the recording and/or reviewing consolidating entries and reconciliation of inter-company.
  </li>
  <li>
   Facilitate monthly deliverables in support of the internal reporting process and corresponding entity level and consolidated financial statement reviews.
  </li>
  <li>
   Support regional and local accounting teams, offering assistance and expertise when needed.
  </li>
  <li>
   Assist in the preparation of footnotes and related disclosures to support the quarterly external reporting process.
  </li>
  <li>
   Work with regional and local finance personnel to assist in monthly close process.
  </li>
  <li>
   Prepare and/or review account reconciliations and corresponding policy compliance.
  </li>
  <li>
   Key point of contact for the quarterly review and annual audit process with the external auditors.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ad-hoc projects requested and deemed appropriate.

   Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting or Finance
  </li>
  <li>
   An active CPA, or advancing toward, is preferred
  </li>
  <li>
   3+ years accounting experience; large and or multi-national, multi-currency company experience is preferred. For reference, Univar currently has &gt;130 consolidation entities across 110 countries with transactions spanning 28 currencies.
  </li>
  <li>
   Consolidation experience, including use of consolidation systems, is helpful
  </li>
  <li>
   Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office apps
  </li>
  <li>
   Familiarity with accounting and reporting (US GAAP) knowledge.
  </li>
  <li>
   Familiarity with modern, best-in-class, consolidations systems (such as OneStream) and or ERP systems (such as SAP) is preferred.
  </li>
  <li>
   Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  </li>
  <li>
   Ability to influence people and processes without direct responsibility.
  </li>

   Ability to prioritize, plan, organize and meet deadlines
