 Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Perform bank reconciliations and monitor online banking activity, including check and ACH positive pay.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support monthly close by reconciling AP-related accounts and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and compile documentation for annual audits.
 </li>
 <li>
 Process and verify financial transactions using ERP/SAP systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records through data entry and transaction review.
 </li>
 <li>
 Investigate and resolve accounts payable issues in collaboration with management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain journals and ledgers by analyzing, verifying, and posting transactions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and process payments, including checks and electronic deposits.
 </li>
 <li>
 Verify and maintain customer and vendor records.
 </li>
 <li>
 Organize and manage financial documents for processing and recordkeeping.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with cost tracking by allocating and recording expenditures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide support to AP/AR and the broader accounting team as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
 </li>
 <li>
 Stay current with accounting practices through ongoing professional development.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to team objectives and support departmental goals as needed.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
 </li>
 <li>
 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
 </li>
 <li>
 High attention to detail with strong accuracy in data entry and transaction review.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Effective problem-solving skills and ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams and management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
 </li>
 <li>
 Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 </li>
